I second this. It is my favorite and, in my opinion, the best Pixar film since Toy Story.

Both the movie and the Lifted short preceding it were awesome. I wish more movies had shorts preceding them nowadays.

Disney, please make an "Anyone Can Cook" cookbook.

I've been meaning to. I believe it was directed by same guy that did The Iron Giant and The Incredibles.

You are correct, good sir. Brad Bird is also a veteran of the "golden age" of the Simpsons.

I never get out to the movie theaters.... How long do movies usually stay in theaters? I think I get a paycheck the Saturday after this one.

I wish I had a real job, then I could get paychecks more than once every four or five months.

Yes indeedy. Saw this before it came out. (Working in a movie theater has its perks. =P) And it is excellent.

Augh, I just saw a bunch of movies, and I distinctly didn't go and see this one due to apathy. Now I have to? GAWD.

I JUST went to Transformers last night alright? There are entirely too many movies that need watching this year, I just can't make it to all of them.

I'm trying to make it a point to go see as many of them as I can. With The Simpsons movie and Sunshine coming out back to back, and now this, I have my work cut out for me.

Man, I was going to go see Ratatouille at the Studio Movie Grill near me (theater that serves you dinner at your seat, it's awesome), but it was actually sorta funny... we (my boyfriend and I) were gonna be on time, until his car ran out of gas and we were stuck. We (he) pushed it to a place where we could park it off of the road, walked to a gas station only a block away, and they only had those weird gallon cartons you manually fill up... and that didn't start the car. So then we (he) pushed the car to the gas station, completely filled up his tank, waited for his car to respond, and got to the theater like 20 minutes late. We figured we'd either still go in, or we'd just see another movie... and then every single show was sold out until about 2 hours later, so we just went to eat somewhere else without any movie.

I'm not quite sure why I needed to rant about that... but, I still really want to see that movie. Hopefully I'll see it before its out of movie theaters and I wont have to wait til it comes out at blockbuster.

Indeed, the forum is full of insomniacs and people in crazy time zones. But this is not the thread for it!

Who's seen Cars? It didn't look that interesting to me, probably cuz it had Larry the Cable Guy in it.

Cars was okay. It doesn't hold a candle to Ratatouille though.

I liked Cars a lot, because I like cars a lot.

Wish it coulda had more real cars in it, instead of the generic ones most of the minor characters are. And I think, for a nostalgic highway drivin' -type movie, it should've had some classic rock songs in there. I think there were new songs and covers of old ones, which is kinda disappointing.

    But again, I like cars.

I saw Ratatouille a few weeks ago...

Really, really good. The music, the cooking scenes... I don't even like cooking, and it made it look orgasmic. This movie is full of creativity and energy.

    Watch it!

I love stupidly exaggerated French stereotypes so it was all good and fun. I also think the critic was an excellent character.

I went seed Ratatouille! Apparently the guy behind me in line went to see Ratatootie.

The 'Lifted' thing at the beginning was hilarious. The movie itself wasn't amazing, but the ending was pretty good.

What interests me a lot about the movie is that the makers actually researched french cooking, so the cooking techniques in the movie are supposedly extremely accurate.

I'm going to go see it again tomorrow! Cuz my parents haven't seen it, so I'm taking them.

Use this as an opportunity to learn and/or improve your french accent.
