The Orange Belt Mii Contest #1: Literature

edited July 2007 in Comics
I just got my wii going again using a candle sensor bar, and ran the Mii Parade, and saw you guys have a lot of talent in the Mii making department (Who the heck made the Jack Black one? It was bloody good!). Thus I decided to hold a Mii making contest!

The topic for this one is a Mii related to literature, this means book characters, authors, etc.

To enter just make a Mii and snap a shot of it and post it in here. I and someone else (Who wants to help judge? Obviously, you'll not be allowed to enter if you take the post) will judge when a sufficient number of entries have been submitted.

So, Ladies and Gentlemen, get going!

    woo-hoo!
  • edited July 2007
I've only seen Miis from 3 people.

I am intrigued! I shall see what I can come up with.

Oh, and it was me that made the Jack Black Mii, though I based it off one I found online, so I can't take credit for it.

I made one of V from V for Vendetta, since he originated in a graphic novel, would that count as literature?

heh, yea, i saw yur vii walkin' by earler and got a luagh. but by that logic, I made a Walter, The Salesman, and Gaptooth from witch's brew, but I wouldn't say they count.

Well, it's corny and easy, but here's your first entry.

Is that Tom Cruise walking past?

And yes, Takeru, V would count.

Heh, nope, that's my creepy mii. He likes watching Mario and Stef bowl.

    He is quite creepy....

    The original one was creepier.

FYI guys, judging will be on Sunday, since I think the Sprite Contests take a bit too long between entries and results.

I misread the thread title, and was very excited to read up on the Milf contest thread.

    Milfs from literature, even!

Is it possible to make a Mii of Queequeg?
  • edited July 2007
Okay, here's my feeble attempt at a literature Mii...I just wish that the options weren't so sparse...

    DSC00948.jpg

It is the great Muad'Dib, Mahdi of the Arrakeen people, formerly known as Paul Atreides, father of the Tyrant, Leto III. (He's from the Dune books by Frank Herbert if you didn't know).

And I apologize for the crappy quality. My digital camera is a hand-me-down, and thus very old.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is that!

The contest is closed, and MrCheeze and I shall now decide upon a winner. Keep your eyes peeled!

I think next time this should be posted in either SCIENCE! or the general forum.. I never check this one so I didn't see it until today.. we might get more submissions.
  • edited July 2007
I was considering which to post it in when I first made the contest. Perhaps SCIENCE will be more apt, yes...

    And the results are in!

    In first place:
Takeru: Your V was wonderful, incredibly accurate portrayal.
    In second place:
Geoko: Your Twain was good, but he wasn't exactly recognisable.
    In Third place:
illithid235: I've never read Dune (must do so), so I checked what Muad'Dib looked like, and I think you made him look too gaunt and inhuman.

And there it is! I have no idea what prize to offer, so I will come up with something by the next contest!

Just out of curiosity, what picture did you look at?
