  • I can now confirm that the code above for a slider with multiple panes does work -- with one change. Because setWidth is a global variable, you don't need to return it. Instead, change return setWidth; to: return false; at the end of each .click function. It works, and it's so very cool. -- Nato
  • It's not implemented yet on my site, because I don't have any "previous issues" for Series Two yet. When I do, the area that now is devoted entirely to Series One will slide over to reveal Series Two, and back again, upon the clicking of certain links. On the Coda site, I'm talking about the way you can click the left and…
  • Did I mention I was tired? In the HTML code, kindly switch the places of the "shiftleft" and "shiftright" links. We apologize for the confusion. Yawn, Nato
  • I contributed to an April Fools' joke at TeeVee.org this year. Hey, is the Justin Timber-Lake stocked with Lance Bass? -- Nato
  • I am aghast! The 6:35 RSS feed gave no indication of a new comic! As always, outstanding work, Stef. -- Nato

  • No one on Earth does comics quite like you, Stef. That's intended as a compliment. I keep waiting for the comics world to discover 6:35 and fall all over itself. -- Nato

  • Wait, it gets better. Peter Weller, who played Dr. Banzai, is working toward his Ph.D. in Roman history, and teaches serious courses at UCLA. http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/15.02/posts.html Life imitates awesome. -- Nato

  • Also, is that Hilary Parsons, Engineering Coed? If so, poor Hilary. How very far she's fallen from her carefree days of yore.

  • The new Doctor Who is startlingly good, particularly because it aspires to be nothing more than gleeful, silly, child-appropriate entertainment. It's smart and sweet and -- something you don't see a lot on TV -- actually joyous. However, because the British believe that a healthy dose of brain-scarring terror does a child…

  • I just finished reading the superawesome The Chinatown Death Cloud Plot, a two-fisted, spine-tingling pulp adventure starring the writers who created The Shadow and Doc Savage, and I'm now working on the ever-hilarious Christopher Moore's A Dirty Job and a weird, kinda self-indulgent superhero novel entitled Flyboy Action…

  • Whaaaat? I don't know how most people read Neil Gaiman, but I'm usually pretty happy when I read his books. I find them funny and cheerful and very amusingly sensible, even when they're telling you about the scary bits. -- Nato

  • Yep, I've got 6:35 on my bundle of daily comics sites to check -- sorry, haven't seen whether RSS is workin' -- which admittedly represents a certain abundance of optimism. It wasn't meant to be angsty, Leesh. I'd just recently been reading Neil Gaiman, and it rubbed off a bit. (= -- Nato

  • Apologies for the late response. I work for these guys, and it's great. -- Nato
  • Stef and Leesh, congrats to you both. I now work in a job that can best be described as "ridiculously wonderful," but I had to go through six months of hell in another, far less enjoyable job before I found it. -- Nato
  • I got this off the ModernTales list -- it seems Jen Contino hungers for fresh content for the Pulse. Might be a great way to get a well-deserved boost to your readership!

  • Character sheets were a huge, huge help for my not-an-artist self when I was working on my two-page story for the McCloud course lo those many moons ago. Taking the time to work out my characters' designs, measure out their proportions, and place all the requisite details on their bodies made it a lot easier to draw them…
  • hello... kitty... toaster? Well, considering they have pink hello kitty handguns, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. Excellent comic, Stef! (As always!) -- Nato
