  • So...women are basically 2 people mashed together with random little bits from each one active. ...Fascinating.
  • Someone from work was saying earlier this week that they actually saw a delivery truck on a highway swerve to hit a dog. Not to avoid it. To HIT it. Personally, I believe that swerving to avoid an animal isn't always wise. It can cause bigger problems.
  • That's ok, we have a thread for that too.

  • I think I was going to try and explain what happened to you at one point but then I got tired of typing. It was a harrowing tale of drama, suspense, and action. Then I shut down my computer and went to bed without actually pressing the button to post it. Oops. I guess we'll never know now.
  • The Geico parody is funny. I was always waiting for someone to do that in the commercials.
  • We're complaining about work now? I work from home. I don't have school. I don't have a relationship of any sort. Terms of compensation: unfavorable. Hours: a bit too long. And I get a little batty being at home all the time. I've been considering quitting and seeking better employment, but after emerging from the dust of…
  • Yikes. Glad to hear you're ok. Although I still suspect alcohol ends a lot more lives than it saves, I can accept that it is nonetheless capable of saving them. Afterall, alcohol can function as more than a mere beverage. It's flammable. And it can kill bacteria and stuff. Certainly these properties have been used to…
  • I never did that well in spanish class, and that was years ago now, but at least I can almost understand that. The Japanese leaves me totally in the dark.

  • Huh. I got 3rd, edging out "Andrew Sublette" when I played it. I wonder how low of a score I could get?
  • It brings back memories.
  • Little did they know at the time that the creation of the the internet and e-mail in particular would largely eliminate the need for guided missile delivery. Certainly not as awesome, but perhaps more cost effective.
  • Whoa. I hope things go well for you.

  • I'd say John did since it's his comic, but I suspect there is a chance it hasn't been high on his list of priorities.
  • Eh, I don't know what to think. I'm going to be honest here. The last time I traveled out of state I ended up lost in downtown San Francisco in the rain without an umbrella. I suspect if I had been alone I'd have been mugged or worse. Then I got sick. Also a taxi driver totally took me an another guy for a ride and dumped…
  • I pretended to play an alto sax once upon a time. I say pretended because I never really practiced or put much effort into it in general. That was about a decade ago. I don't think I could even remember how to play the notes at all anymore.
  • Maybe we need some small print or something... At the Orange Belt, all threads (especially those in the General Discussion Forum) are subject to sudden topic changes. Any person is free to refer back to the original topic (or any topic established in the thread) at any time, but a change of topic may be ignored by other…
  • The key to a good life is a healthy colon. Or something like that. I can't really recall the proper StV quote. I don't really know about guys liking a good BM more than girls. Do you prefer just trying to hold it in?

  • I was thinking the same thing.

  • *thinks to such a degree as for the thinking process to be nearly audible* Was it Bevin? I've kinda gotten used to people sorta disappearing. It makes me kinda depressed to think about. *thinks about boobs* ...I'm sorry, what were we talking about again? I lost my train of thought.
  • *looks at burned mundane DVD of Wall-E recorded off the TV sitting to his left* Huh. I just finally watched that just a couple days ago.

  • Oh wow. That takes me back. I LOL'd at that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQA29JrNHY8
  • It's totally WAY cooler if you use the Konami code. Lens flares make EVERYTHING better! Well, unless you're a lame Opera-using nerd like me. EDIT: Although, to be fair, the problem with Opera is a simple matter of interference from default shortcut keys.
  • There was definitely something wrong, but it wasn't the ogg file so much as my alarming lack of ability to play them! I have now corrected this problem and all is well with the world again.
  • I'll give twitter a pass, the same way I skipped on myspace, and facebook, and the same way I'll ignore every other frivolous trend I don't care about. I don't need such distractions in my day. I have more things to occupy my time than I can quite find time for already.
  • I think I added a couple people to a "Forum Persons" group. This of course contains a couple people who have directly messaged me or somehow ended up on my buddy list through the magic of gmail and its idiotic tendency to add people's gmail accounts to my list just because I emailed them once.
  • That makes two of us.
  • I had a dream a couple nights ago where a couple large tortoises were roaming through my yard. There was a sizeable and oddly very hemispherical pit in the yard for some reason and they were crawling through it. They were surprisingly mobile in hindsight, but regardless I and some relatives that were there for no apparent…
  • Keeping the toaster hidden away behind a large booze-filled fruit? Well, that might work to keep it away from the racoons.
