I would note that "going green" does have other benefits. Such as my computer which contains several parts purchased which are notable for their relative power efficiency compared to similar products. By using less power, they produce less heat and thus are easier to cool with fewer/slower fans. End result? Quieter…

Same here. I'm rather fond of my mind's normal state. I feel no incentive to alter it.

I choose a little of all 4 options. Being responsible and such is not exactly a bad idea. It could be beneficial in the long run to take the environment into consideration regardless of climate change status. That much seems obvious. That said, I do think some government/business persons/organizations are set to profit off…

I dunno. This seems pretty extreme even if a guy is being a bit of a jerk. I'd say there are some cops here who probably shouldn't be cops. They aren't supposed to have "power trips".

I think I would find the world a duller place without a few people like John around. Maybe he just gets caught up in the hyperbole sometimes.

There's still an MTV?

I went for the first thing that came up that I liked. The work is ok, but financially speaking, I'd be better off unemployed. You never really seem to get your cake and eat it too it seems.

I like -40 degrees. Only because I don't have to specify whether I mean F or C though.

If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out.

Nice to see the military trying to be cost effective at least. Although I've seen numbers for double precision performance on modern graphics cards (Radeon 5850?) listed anywhere from nearly 600GFLOPS to 750GFLOPS. That's pretty good for a card that's supposed to also go for $300. Of course they'll no doubt try to push…

Mexico isn't on there either. Nor are any Central/South American nations or any part of Africa for that matter. Asia is not well accounted for either.

I'm aware of that. I have an LP2475w. According to the chart on the bottom of this page, I believe this would be covered. I'll be looking into it. I haven't sorted out the process I'd have to go through to replace this thing yet. If I had to pay to ship it back I'm not sure it'd be worth it. EDIT: I had a microphone stop…

My big fancy monitor has a bright pixel. A little red spec to ruin an otherwise awesome display. I think it'd be covered under warranty, but I don't want to have to go through another darn RMA process after I recently went through all that with a hard drive. I'd give it odds I'd have to pay shipping one way. Also. I…

Too many birthdays. Hard to find good images darn it! Hope your birthday was a good one anyway.

$0.01 on God destroying the LHC. $10 on Higgs-Boson being found several years from now followed by little fanfare and a continuation of research which will quietly occur throughout the rest of our foreseeable lives. I'd have voted they never find it, but Stephen Hawking already did that.

What cat thing? I see no cat thing. But I shall leave a picture of my own for Jeff.

I've installed my new graphics card and setup my new monitor. I have instantly been spoiled. Once set right, this new monitor is fantastic. Only problem is I'm going to realize how bad my old 17" panel is now.
-
Hmmm. Well this maybe explains the earlier post. That is indeed pretty crummy to hear though.

If you like movies that walk the line between funny-bad and just-plain-bad then Spiderman 3 is for you. You will laugh at things that don't seem like they were supposed to be funny. You will groan at things that are trying to be inspiring. At the end of the movie you will yawn and go about your day.

I found an image for once. Happy Birthday.

I could say the exact same things, so if you find answers let me know. Well, except the sucking at calculus bit. I never properly took calculus, but I probably wouldn't have sucked at it unless the teacher sucked. Oh! Actually I can answer the growing up one: When you die. Throughout your life you will always be "growing…

... Riiiight.

On the subject of computer building I have a few new parts on order. One is one of those newfangled solid state disks everyone is talking about. One is an actual graphics card which I've finally gotten around to getting, and the last is a larger monitor. The SSD is just a 30GB model. A boot drive to load Windows 7 on. My…

Ok. I just added the rest then.
-
Hmmm. Hamelin did not post which people he's added and has not yet posted his wave account for other persons contacts. I had just added Serephel, RCS, and Panda.
-
Alright as long as I'm around tonight I'll get these too. RCS and Panda have been added.
-
I got it. Just gotta wait now.
-
I already have an account! Like all things google, my browser of choice is not supported and I had basically no contacts, so I haven't checked it in a while. I do seem to have about 16 invitations myself so there's no excuses. We got enough invites for everyone. My account is xolore /at/ googlewave /dot/ com for your…

Perhaps not the most amazing living ever, but it sounds like an adventure of sorts. Nice to see you back!

I am not a bird. I do not tweet.
