I'm trying to make the best of what will probably be the last few nice days of the year. Just took a long walk through the neighborhood even though it's late at night on a worknight.

That's exactly what I was looking for! They hid it well. Though hopefully this forum software is better at knowing I've read things than the old one, and I won't need to use it that often.
-
I really need a "mark all as read" button.

Nah, the Simpsons one is pretty awful. EarthBound is wonderful and I still haven't beaten Secret of Mana. That game ramps up the difficulty towards (what I assume is) the end.

One of many SNES games that we borrowed from our cousins and they never asked for back so it's still sitting in our basement. Others include: EarthBound Secret of Mana The Simpsons: Bart's Nightmare

I just think Facebook isn't a very useful place for a business to use as their primary internet presence. That place in town I told you about had all of their contact information hidden away on a page that required a potential customer to actually log in/sign up to Facebook to access. Plus most of the page layout is…

I miss forums being a significant thing. It's kinda sad how the internet has basically melded together into like twenty big sites that everybody is on... Makes it seem way less infinite and experimental than it used to be. A game store recently opened in my town that has a Facebook page instead of an actual website. That…

I'm really happy that they strengthened the stage builder. There was some other stuff I was really happy about, but I can't remember them all because the video was so long. I'm sure once the game is released I will be happy about them again. Foreground/background battling looks cool, though. They could make some nice Paper…

I always seem to become most motivated to work on my personal projects at the exact moment that I look at the time and think I should probably go to sleep or I'll feel terrible at work tomorrow.

There was a Melee tournament in my town earlier this year. Considering it was a tiny shop in a tiny town, I was expecting to face no stiff competition. I got destroyed. And yeah, most of them were either using Sheik or Marth. Surprisingly few Fox and Falco users though. According to the community-voted tier list, those…

Yeah, that's a pretty good idea. Though like I said, I may have to introduce some edited comics to avoid referencing too much of the stuff that viewers of that gallery wouldn't see. The site isn't really powered by any sort of content management system, though. I mostly maintain it by hand, with a little PHP/database magic…

I'm conflicted. I want to buy this game right now because everyone else has it and is playing it right now. But my birthday is in a couple weeks so it's a good gift idea if my parents want to get me something.

When my brother was working at Best Buy, he noticed something similar with the TVs. Those super cheap Black Friday specials are sometimes just renumbered older models, which kinda makes them tough to repair or get parts for because you've got a model number that was only on sale for a day.

That reminds me of when Ford came out with the Freestyle, they renamed the Windstar to the Freestar to match. It drove me nuts because there was no real change in the vehicle itself to make the name change meaningful. And then when the Five Hundred and the Freestyle weren't selling well, they renamed them Taurus and Taurus…

Windows 9 plus Windows One = Windows 10 Xbox One is still a terrible, terrible name.

I came very close to buying a set of those Tetris lights over the weekend. Might still do it. ActRaiser is one of those games I've heard good things about but never made an effort to try. Looks like I'd probably prefer alternating between Super Mario World and SimCity. Wonder where they came up with that weird name, though.

The sales are almost as delicious as the candy.

Don't worry, this one has nothing to do with any plotlike things. Plot comics are too big and hard to do so I space them out. Which just makes the whole thing more confusing.

A coworker gave me a code for the demo. Mega Man and Villager are both very fun so far. I've gotten good use out of Mega Man's down-tilt slide move, and his up and down aerial attacks seem pretty good. I like that they remixed the N64 version's character select screen music to use as the results screen music. Also, I keep…

Same here, I was a platinum member but didn't opt-in to receiving messages. Oh well. Eagerly awaiting Pichu DLC.

We had to read The Little Prince in French class back in high school. I don't remember much about the book, because it was in French.

This is awesome. I really need to play my Wii U more.

FYI, they're giving away pokemon over the online Mystery Gift for the next couple weeks. Owners of Pokemon X get a Heracross and owners of Pokemon Y get a Pinsir. And starting August 18th, you can go to Gamestop and pick up a flyer containing a serial code to unlock a mega stone for them (while supplies last). Speaking of…

And the update features two classic cars in addition to the new one! So now the haters of free content and silly crossovers have less to hate about-- that old-timey F1 car looks just like something that would be in a Mario Kart game in the first place.

Here's a couple weasels and a jolteon to break the silence. I always seem to have a summertime activity drought while I'm busy doing... summertime activities. If you want, there's larger versions on m'site: Weasels / Jolteon
