I'm stuck with something similar. I've upgraded my motherboard, graphics card, and memory since I got this computer about 7 years ago, but the processor and hard drive are still the same. 2.4 GhZ and 80 GB of space. I have to be very picky with what stays on my computer.

Did you also get the feeling that DT was hoping no one would bring up Doctor Who in those clips? At least the beginning... I didn't watch it all. Speaking of fun Tennant clips: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSyg5J0J4eE And also, concerning classic Who (I know DI's the only one who will really know what I'm talking…

Besides, D&D is WAY better than WoW.

Ain't pregnancy beautiful?

And this is why Americans have such a hard time in basic composition classes.
-
So is it just a collection of produced-but-not-aired episodes made in the 80s? How any episodes are there?

I still don't understand the appeal of scratchy, thick hair sprouting from a guy's face.

I've used Firefox for years mostly because I don't do a lot with customization and it works well enough for me. I'm probably one of the more tech-dumb members of the Belt. Perhaps when I get some free time (heh) I'll experiment with Opera.

Spelljammer is both.

MAGIC! gives us cataclysmic apocalypses, undead slave armies, and it consumes the life forces of a good number of its weaker practitioners. Not to mention lightning bolts, poison gas clouds, and astral projection. Science is a bunch of idiots waving test tubes around and rarely if ever blowing shit up.
-
That's quite impressive. I'd say that's Jedi worthy. I've never AAAed a song on expert.

I was going to suggest that you drag Blue into our little community. =) That will be right in the middle of my weekend, so I'm looking forward to it.

Really they shouldn't. Really, we should all consider soft drinks like we consider ice cream; something you eat occasionally as a treat. Eliminate it from your diet if you feel inclined. You're not losing anything. In fact, you're gaining quite a bit. Start drinking water. Get a washable plastic jug and fill it up twice a…

Happy Birthday! You should post more often. Here's a picture: When I first saw this, I thought it was really funny. Then I thought about it and was horrified that this kid might be drowning in a flood. I'll just tell myself he got in the deep end of a wave pool and someone will be there to pull him out.

I like a few randomly selected bands. Some of them started in the 90s, some in the 2000s. So... I dunno.

Oh, you'll have to show him cricket! Marvelous game, really. You see, the bowler hurls the ball toward the batter who tries to play away a fine leg. He endeavors to score by dashing between the creases, provided the wicket keeper hasn’t whipped his bails off, of course.

Well, here's a few ideas from my own experiences: 1) Keep your door open when you're in the room. If you're playing a video or computer game, turn the volume up a bit so people passing by your room can hear it faintly. We met our big group of friends because they heard us playing Diablo 2. 2) Frequent that ITG machine.…

We all would have been a lot heavier.

HAPYBDAY! Picture for you. I think this is funny, but I'm kinda drunk right now.

I do. But now *I* have the power! MWAHAHA. Make your avatar something brainy and smart!

Good for this guy, but Wabash of all places? This seems like an awfully progressive required course for one of the few all-male schools left in the country. A school, I might add, that considers the inclusion of female and black writers in literature courses "unorthodox." Still, I'd love to talk to this guy and follow the…

Too bad it's a Jesus bike.

Stardust is also a great read, but you're right, it's very short. I, on the other hand, haven't really read anything at all this summer. I think I've shut my mind off temporarily from books. Now I'm reading a trashy fantasy novel from my youth, book 1 of the Death Gate Cycle by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. Mmmm.
-
I think what sucks is the preparation FOR your job. During the summer I worked two retail jobs to make ends meet because you don't get paid for the summer when you're not a full-time teacher. This year I'm going to have to teach part-time because I don't have enough experience to teach full-time and I'm moving in a year.…

I too was really awed by Lovecraft, particularly "Call of Cthulhu." His stories have this timeless quality to them. It's easy for horror to feel a bit dated, but his stuff is still unnerving.
-
I try to convince myself that having very little free time and having to constantly feel anxious about all the stuff I need to do that I'm not doing is a worthy price to pay for developing my career. Other than that, not much else is up.

Really, I guess I'm just pissed about the question mark thing, and apparently all the actors consistently argued with Nathan-Turner about the choices he made, like the purple costume for the Fourth Doctor. And the god damned question marks... I'm still looking forward to it.
-
What??? It's Ryan's birfday?? Well then, we need some pictures! Let's see here... I like this one. Hopefully you haven't seen it yet. And one more...

So now in our quest to watch every episode of Doctor Who we've reached the point where the series is in decline. We've watched six seasons of the Fourth Doctor, and now producer John Nathan-Turner has come to the show and is systematically destroying everything that was great about the golden age of Old Who. I'm really sad…
