Can someone give me an invite? I'm totally wasting my time doing all these chores unrewarded.
  • edited August 2007
I posted the code link earlier in the thread. Excelsior!

Oh crap, I must have put the three-day code up by mistake. Here's the one they list as a permanent invite code.

Maybe... everyone could just sign up now? That works too.

How does one go about becoming an Adventurer? And do you have to be a Dungeon Master to make an adventure?

oh DMy poos? might I propose a new chore?

    *drum roll please*

    -update website!-

I'll leave XP up to you.

Oh, so this is why the updates are missing.

If I play it for long enough, does DDR count as lightly exercising? And any chance you can make a clean fish/reptile tank adventure where you can get attacked by an angry ectotherm?

Well, I guess if I can get xp for updating, I better make a website. Stupid motivation.

Everyone can add adventures themselves, you know. Don't add any non-chores though.

    Cleaning a fishtank sounds legit.

DDR is a game, not a chore. Quit trying to find loopholes.

Not if you're an apprentice, which I still am.
  • edited August 2007
I'm going to go un-apprentice everyone right now, and then you should be able to add new chores. They're still adding features to Chore Wars, and for some reason the result of this is that people start out default as 'apprentice'.

If the chores you add are not really chores, they're going to get deleted like those other non-chores on the list. (FYI, "update comics" was one of the deleted chores, guys.)

No, it was "Draw a Comic". Different!!

And equally not a chore. I don't even like the exercise stuff being there. Whether you exercise or not has no effect on the state of living in your home, and has no bearing on your housemates. You should try to stay in shape in general, but that's a personal thing, unlike having full litter boxes, which affects everyone in the house.

Thanks for emptying those, Natalie! You're an inspiration to the whole establishment!

What about that deleted e-mail stuff that geoko's claimed a couple times?

On an unrelated note, why is there cooking a meal, cooking dinner, and cooking breakfast?
  • edited August 2007
Because people entered them without realizing that an entry already existed. And you'll notice Geoff's 'deleting emails' chore came with no XP.

Drawing comics is an activity that you choose to do, like a hobby. Your mom doesn't come home from work and yell at you because you didn't draw your comics.

    ...right?

What she said. I intentionally halfed the XP to take that down to 0. I just did it cause "DELTEATED" was on there. If you don't want me to act on Strong Bad references, don't make them. ^_^

I mean, it's like putting "BURNINATE!" as a chore, and expecting me not to burn things, even for 0 XP.

EDIT: Please don't put "BURNINATE!" as a chore.

All the ones people seem to be complaining about (except deleting e-mails) I put up there. I interpreted "chore" to be "something that I have trouble motivating myself to do". Turns out that updating chore wars has since become a chore for me though, so I'm stuck in a bit of a paradox.
  • edited August 2007
Haha, shall we add a chore for updating Chore Wars?

Who's the wise guy that isn't capitalizing their adventures?!

Who's Dom, and why does he have so much dog poo?
  • edited August 2007
You know, just for the sheer fact that I get a lot of easy xp for exercising, I want to use it. I am not using it anymore, but if it isn't taken off, I might give empty threats to use it again.

You guys remember this? I'm cleaning up my horrible cesspool of an apartment right now, so I thought I'd revive it.
  • edited March 2010
I think it would be fun, especially since, unlike last time, I don't live with my parents.
  • edited March 2010
I have been considering doing this again to better my cleaning motivation.

I really, REALLY need to vacuum....

Man. I'm not even going to join... it's not going to make a difference.
