It's snowing!!

edited April 2013 in General
I know, snow is nothing special, but it's snowing here, which is really unusual.

Are you in the Southern Hemisphere?
  • edited August 2007
Or one of the polar regions of Mars?

Oh dear, Nukivaj has not yet responded... I think it's safe to assume that he/she mistook the snow for volcanic ash, and is now trying to reestablish connection to the real world after the eruption.

I hope he/she watched that South Park and knew to duck and cover.

There is my location. Yep, nowhere near an active volcano. Sorry, illi.

Snow is always special! So is volcanic ash. Make snow/ash angels!

I want snow. We should all go to Chile and visit Nukivaj.

    Snow > Drought

    *looks at sky*
    Rain dammit!
  • edited August 2007
Yeah, the weather is weird all over the world..

There is no such thing as climate change.

I wish it was snowing here... summer makes me a sad panda.

I am hoping for good snow this winter. And definately better than last year's snowfall. That was really bad.

It has never snowed here, and it never will. Darn middle of the world.
  • edited August 2007
Isn't the UK in the middle of the world? What if it being the 0 point and all that...
  • edited August 2007
It's in an arbitrary middle in terms of the Prime Meridian, but it's not exactly on the equator, which is what I think he meant by the middle.
  • edited August 2007
True, but we're central on the horizontal, which is still pretty freaking sweet.

Interestingl, it appears that nothing is dead centre (That is where the Prime Meridian and the equator intersect. The closest thing is the island nation of São Tomé and Príncipe

Obviously you've never seen that one episode of Mighty Max. But seriously, yeah, arbitrary.

Well, as they say, "The sun never sets on the British Empire."
  • edited September 2007
Well, it does, but since the sky is perpetually overcast you can't see it.
  • edited September 2007
Are you implying that Britain has terrible weather?
  • edited September 2007
No direct sunlight sounds like perfect weather to me.
  • edited September 2007
Well, the British Empire does not have bad weather, not everywhere at least. It is all around, so it has good and bed weather at the same time. But yes, specifically in England, isn't is supposed to rain a lot there?

I want snow. It's 23 degrees celsius here. Very uncomfortable :(
  • edited September 2007
How is 23 uncomfortable? You a polar bear or something?
  • edited September 2007
Sounds normal to me. 17-20 is warm, 20+ is hot, 16- is nice.
  • edited September 2007
0 is awesome, and it often yields the best sleep in the evenings. Warm under the covers, surrounded by frigid cold air. Best freaking feeling in the world.

    Gah, celsius conversions...
23 isnt that much. It's about 28 here.

It's because I have school uniform. Big, thick blazers and shirts.
  • edited September 2007
Ha ha. School uniforms. Nobody complains over here when you go to class in your pajamas. In fact, it happens quite often.
  • edited September 2007
No one may complain, but I usually give those people a disapproving look.
