We'll just have to hang around here and bitch about not being able to go.

Who went to Paris last year? WHO?
  • edited March 2006
Parisians who returned home after vacations? I dont know.

The entire cast and crew of ABC's run away hit show "the bachelor".

I'm actually likely to go. Even if I can't convince hubby to go with me, I'll come, bring the kid, and let her slobber on everyone else who comes.

    Who's up for baby drool???

    Nah, just kidding.

    But I probably will come.

How long is this group rate discount good for? I want to go, but I need to convince some of my local friends to go too before I pay, I am not driving to the con alone.
  • edited March 2006
    (scroll down a bit)

The entry suggests that the $5 off discount for groups has no expiration date, but the $30 pass offer expires April 29th.

Update time! The prices are gonna start going up soon, so I highly suggest you guys start coming together for the group discounts. Here's the ConnectiCon '06 registration page; it's $30 a pop for the weekend, with $5 off per membership if 10 or more people get in on it and send them all in at once in the same envelope (if a group does formulate, I'd be glad to help coordinate the purchase). This price only lasts until April 29th; it then goes up to $40 until June 10th, when you pay the at-the-door price of $50. So if we can assemble a group, you'll be paying 1/2 the at-the-door weekend price. If you want to come, let me know in this thread (or via PM, e-mail, IM, signal flares, whatever) immediately. Stef and I are gonna be there, possibly flying some sort of Orange Belt-ish banner, and we'd love to see you there too.

So yeah, tell me you're coming. Right now.

    Does that include hotel costs?
  • edited April 2006
No, that's the registration cost. Earlier in this thread, Stef estimated about $25/night for a hotel room (we're going to reserve rooms as soon as we've got the spare cash, so we're not stuck with a Motel 6 or Best Western or something), and that still sounds reasonable to me. It doesn't look like ConnectiCon has worked out their usual deals with local hotels, but once they do, we'll jump on it.

    Party at god's place.

I'm fairly certain I won't be able to go this year, maybe next year, but there's a good chance I can go in '08.

It's sucky that so many of us can't go this year, but Mario's trying to use this thread to take a count of people who ARE going to Connecticon in order to arrange a group discount. If you are NOT able to go to Connecticon (and are thus ineligible for the group discount), please report here:

    Maybe I'll come.

And MAYBE the damned plane won't be stranded on the runway for 4 fucking hours AGAIN for no good reason.
You should totally come, Khan! I want to see you again.

Count Brandon and I in. He's checking to see if he can get the days off work, but both of us want to go and are financially able to do so this year! (This is the sole reason I keep a job, I swear).

I am posting my intention to go to CC06!

I didn't go last year and look what happened! My comic died!
  • edited April 2006
You should go twice this year to even things out.

    Okay.

Man, I'd love to see both of you guys again, so it's great that you're still together and coming to the con.

On the downside, it will be alot more difficult for me to hit on you if Brandon's there.
Bring Dana, or suffer the consequences!

I'm still not sure if I'll be able to go, but until further notice you might as well count me in, too, and if events don't pan out as I hope they will I'll only be out the cost of the ticket, which isn't all that much, really.

Let my intention to attend CC'06 ring throughout these hills.

    (Also: Hello guys.)
  • edited April 2006
I'd very much like to come. I'll have to ask the hubby about it tonight. I'll bring the munchkin, and possibly her father, if I manage it.

I am most certainly going to connecticon, and I, same as god, live not far from there.

I definetly wanna get in on some 'o' that blank white action.
