I'm writing another fucking paper, this time on the Concordat of Worms!
If it makes you feel better I had to write an essay about the replacement of the keynesian consensus with Thatcher's Neo-Liberal economic policy yesterday...
I'm skipping work and hanging out with my bestest buddy in the whole wide world, Serephel! I love being with him. He's so drea...I mean... he's a great friend.
This was either a failure in that my disguise was seen through by a surprisingly large minority of the few trick-or-treaters, or a success in that those few trick-or-treaters means I get the remains of the 90 full size candies.
I did the rough draft of my essay last night so I can enjoy tonight, somewhat. I still get off work at 8 pm and do not get home till 9. It is on the benefits of employments while and after in prison and how that can reduce recidivism. Actually very interesting. I have learned a lot. Still finalizing my ideas and arguments, but that is what the rough draft is for.
Our town started doing this thing where we keep all the little kids on main street and they go trick-or-treating at the stores and other businesses. So i had to go hand out candy with the Chamber of Commerce. But it also meant that there was nobody to hand out candy at our house, so we have a full bowl.
I didn't get any trick-or-treaters! On the bright side, I rented, watched and enjoyed Firestarter. Love that movie. Definitely Drew Barrymore's best acting role ever.
I'm dressing up this year for the first time in.... a really long time. We're going to carve pumpkins, have trick-or-treaters for the first time in our own domicile, go to an English department Halloween party, then go to the local bar and brewery for music and beer! Rockin!
I'll post pictures of our costumes later, once we have them on and such. Everyone, what are you all doing for Halloween?
I thought I might be going to a party tonight, but I have not heard from my roommate where or when it takes place, so hopefully that doesn't fall through!
Nothing! Some of my American friends invited me to go out club hopping at some places that were celebrating Halloween... but it didn't sound so fun. So I played games instead, which I hadn't done all week because I was busting my ass working overtime every night this week.
I will go home and hand out candy! I'd dress up if my parents weren't about. Next year !! And I'll carve pumpkins next year too. I forgot all week to buy one

By the way, not a happy one for me.

I also proposed today! Woohoo!
Turns out that blue suit jackets are harder to come by than one would think.
Since it ended with a "woohoo" I'm assuming she said yes. CONGRATULATIONS!
