Uncircumsized penises require extra care and attention, as you have to clean under the foreskin regularly. For me personally, that wouldn't be a real problem, I shower and clean myself regularly. But there are plenty of people for whom that is a major issue.

I forget exactly what it's called, but there is a condition in where the head of an uncircumcised penis actually cannot make its way through the opening of the foreskin, because it's either too tight or too brittle. So, through frequent doctor mandated masturbation you have to slowly tear and rip apart your foreskin to get it through. Typically lotions and creams do the trick, but sometimes surgery is needed.

In that light, I'd rather have a circumcision when I'm young and can't remember it.

By the way, the previous statement might be inappropriate for young children.

I miss the drunken proposals of love.

I love you all!!! I'm... not... drunk.

    Are you sure?

    .... No.

I don't really know the pros and cons of circumcision. The only pros I've heard are what Serephel just posted about. The only con I can think of is the ill-fated attempt that essentially cut a lad's penis off. His parents decided to raise him as a girl so he ended up quite messed up in the head since he was wearing dresses and ponytails while still producing testosterone.

I'm not sure about the robbed of choice thing. I honestly didn't realize I was circumsized until 9th grade and I thought, "Oh, neat" instead of, "What have they done?!"

Well, like I said, the supposed negative of it is that it reduces a male's stimulation during sex. So apparently if you're circumcised sex won't feel as good.

Personally, I wouldn't want it to feel any better, it already feels good enough, and making it feel better would reduce longevity.

I'm a girl so I don't have to deal with this problem! Yay for me. :)

I'm actually an advocate and founder of the Foreskin For Life Coalition. We are against the brutal act of removing one's foreskin, as it has so many economic uses! Not only that, but pulling it back serves any purpose that circumcision may, especially the big issue of hygienics. It's easy to clean, and keeps your foreskin avidly promotes atheism! Or, at the least, not being Jewish. Although, that's not a bad thing. It's just, if you aren't Jewish, then why would you want to mutilate your phallus to signify that you are of the chosen people, when that's a blatant lie? If you are Jewish, then I don't mean to offend. I just disagree with your ideas on circumcision, since it's more practical just to keep it!

Well, you do indirectly... but not yet. Hopefully. I'd be curious to hear older girls' opinions, though.

Wait what practical applications are there for foreskin?

    So... foot binding! Icky!
  • edited June 2008
Thank god you came mario!!! Who knows what would have come next.

I've not had experience with guys with foreskin, I think I might be surprised at first but eh. It's not that big of a deal.

OKAY so yeah I'm still wondering about why foot binding was brought up.

    How about them foot bindings.
  • edited June 2008
Methinks mario has a foot fetish.

Or else doesn't care to talk about circumcision in a foot binding thread. Someone should make a separate thread for those so I can ignore it.

I don't really want to talk about foot bindings either, this thread is just getting wacky in general and I was trying to steer it back to its topic. Again, so I can ignore it.

Psh, I'll show you thread consistency.

Today I finished reading the Dark Elf Trilogy, by R.A. Salvatore, on suggestion from illithid, from where I assume he chose his online handle. It is by far my favorite part of the whole Drizzt series so far. I'm going to take a small break, and then after that I'm going to get started on Paths of Darkness. It'll be good to get back into the story with Artemis Entreri, and I'm also a big Jarlaxle fan, so I'm hoping to get a lot of them in the next book.

Any other Drizzt fans out there?

    I like-ed bookeys tooo!
    Yay for books.

Go Drizzt! I need to read more past the Dark Elf Trilogy.
  • edited June 2008
I didn't get my name directly from the Dark Elf trilogy, I have always been a D&D fan and I thought illithids were a cool race.
  • edited June 2008
    They are an awesome race!

I can't play D&D. I'm the nerdiest person in my local friend group and I don't even like it all that much, I'd never get them to play. Besides, I'm an awful awful awful awful AWFUL DM.

That's what our DM says, the liar.

We could have our very own, online DnD game!!!

    That would be really hard.

    Libel! I'll sue!

Seriously though, I am an awful DM, I just don't have a mind for numbers and I can't even remember the basic dice rolls or anything. I'm also extremely bad at explaining how to play board games.
  • edited June 2008
Wait, I thought in D&D you could do anything you want.... Like doesn’t my brother tend to burn down Taverns??
  • edited June 2008
No no no, the tavern burning was me and Drew. Chris did drop a horse on an enemy with a mount summoning spell though.
