For the record: I had nothing to do with Geoff's crazy cosplay plan. Except for supporting the possible purchase of a yellow Vespa.
I knew a dude who did this (save the vespa anyway). He made the dress entirely out of that shiny colored duct tape you can buy, it actually looked pretty good.
Pffft. I didn't say you should. I'm just mocking him because he's going about the idea of such a costume just like everybody else would. I'm saying it would be something to see someone interpret a crazy anime character into something that looks like an actual person in the real world. Y'know with a natural hair color and clothes that aren't ultra bright and don't clash so much.
it would be much easier on the eyes, that's for sure.
I think Geoff's problem is that he's attracted to a cartoon. Not even the idea of Haruko so much. Like if the Haruko on his FLCL poster at home could reach out and cuddle he would totally be more than okay with that.

I think the problem there is, no one would recognize the costume. If you're at a nerdular nerdence convention and have to explain your costume, you're doing it wrong.

joke's on you. i don't have a haruko poster. and is it so wrong to think a girl dressed in red leather and knee high boots would be awesome? ^_^

I get the final word.
And the word is... NO
When is this thing, anyway?
Me, I will be.
