Oh, I guess rotten mango would ruin it for me too.
I eat a lot of fruit here. China has a wide variety of fruit. They have delicious kumquats when they are in season. Their waxberries are currently in season, though I'm afraid I may have a slight allergy to them, I'm not sure. On Saturday I bought a giant bag of waxberries from an old farmer sitting on the side of the road.
I never saw them when I lived in bumfuck Iowa or Indiana. Aren't you in Utah or some other bumfuck state, Queen? Waxberries probably are not available if you are.
Though I would imagine they might be if you go out to California or something. They have large Asian populations there, enough to merit importing Asian foods and fruits and such.
Edit: And they are delicious! They're very sweet and berry-ish.
What the hell? I specifically said this is a topic for discussing manga and anime. Not a topic for discussing food!!!:hulk: If I'm not mistaken, there is a food thread, so how about you guys continue your discussion there and get back on topic NOW!!!!:hulk:
... because in the manga, the girl marries her bestfriend/teacher and things are good, then bad, then good, and bad, and .. I'm sure at some point she tries to kill herself, or is almost accidentally offed, but that always happens. Maybe I'll reread it.

Sorry. I may as well get used to topics going off topic. Anyway, my favorite two mangas are Fruits Basket and Rosario Vampire. There's no anime I like in particular.
Most japanese media, just like most american media, is worthless tripe and anyone who is obsessed with it because of its country of origin and not because of its merits is a raging idiot.
That said, anything Studio Ghibli makes is fantastic. I only watch anything lately that My wants to watch with me, so it all tends to be the cream of the crop because she doesn't bother with crap.
I am not proud of those years where my brother and I would download shitloads of anime for no reason off of IRC other than we had an idle internet connection. Hell, we probably only watched about 20% of all that stuff.
In Japan I learned that Japanese people don't actually watch anime. They prefer live action dramas: sitting on the couch sobbing with their beauty masks on, downloading songs from it as ring tones, chasing grandma out of the room, etc.

I don't eat mangos, and I watch very little TV, but a large block of what I do watch includes a few anime shows on Cartoon Network. They aren't always all that good, but whatever.
I've read many comics online and some of them might be classified as "Manga" but I'm not sure. I don't really differentiate "Manga and Anime" from "Comics and Cartoons". If I like the story I read/watch it. Well, actually I don't really have to even like it. Really if the writing and/or the art is good enough in some way, it'll do.

That fruit is pure pleasure.

It's also peach season now too. Yummmmmmm.

Edit: Speaking of mango's, look what I found.

Fuck off, kid.

I don't really eat much fruit. But I'm pretty sure bacon and mango would go well together, so it's ok by me.
