Orange Belt Sprite Comic Contest #7: Final Fantasy

edited December 2006 in Comics
This round's topic is the Final Fantasy Series. It can reference to any of the games, and can even include sprites from the re-releases (such as IV advance). The prize is a drawn reward from me! This round I've realized that...I need at least one more judge! Because it wouldn't be so much of a fair contest with only me as the judge. PM me and we'll talk. Not many of the rules still apply, 'cept all comics should be the artists' best effort! OH, I ALMOST FORGOT: NO REPOSTS. Because they aren't cool. Begin, spriters!

Sure thing. I'll tell you when I'm ready to start judging...but it usually takes at least a week.

I feel the power coursing through my veins....!

Okay, I made an error in the number. Either a mod can change it or the Orange Belt Sprite Comic Contest #7 can be a myth!

And sure, Kirby, you can judge if Ace isn't able.

If you don't mind, I will be submitting a sprite comic myself. Partly so you guys can criticize me and get me back for my past aggressions. So, once it's posted, feel free to have a field day. Though I don't know if the thread is open for Submitting yet.

Done and done. I also corrected the spelling errors in your post while I was in the neighborhood. ^_^

I'll go back to judging for this round since I have no material for a FF based comic. I only don't want to judge when I enter the contest.

Okay. So this round we have for judges:

    1.Me
    2.Mjc
    3.Kirby
    4.Ace

    Let the entries begin!

Those guys have the right idea. They'd better run.

Here I go...it's a play on What Tellah said to Edward when they first met.

All sprites and backgrounds belong to their respective owners, with the exception of the spoons, they all belong to GSarchives.net and their respective makers.

It's titled: Edward Has No Backbone.

    Now let the critisism begin!

Oh, don't worry. It will. But I'll wait until it's time to judge all entries before I point out the flaws in any single entry. Unless, of course, the flaws are so great that it disqualifies it. But your flaws don't, so you'll have to wait.

lol sounds like u have a plan to pick there entrees apart

I actually liked Edward. He seemed like the only character in that game that had any god damned sense. Every other person charged head first into obvious death traps, only Ed thought, hey, maybe we shouldn't do this because it is clearly what the bad guys want us to do.

    I didn't like FF 4.
  • edited November 2006
FF 4 was so damned hard! and yeah, it was amazing so many people 'died' well, Cid should have died....he blew himself up! He could have just the same thrown the bomb....Eh...anyways, yeah. Edward was cool. I just thought he should have stuck up for himself.

Edward was a lover, not a fighter. But I found him to be quite useful.

Theoretically, Edward, when levelled up to level 99 can be the most powerful character in the game, stats-wise. Out of all the stats he can gain at random on level up, he has one that gives a big boost to most of his stats all at once, so when properly influenced to get that level-up each time, he ends up on top.

Of course, who'd take the time?
  • edited November 2006
I know of one person who would take that time, and has. I liked edward, I was saying he needs some more initiative. I liked the game, but again, hated the difficulty. I never finished it. But I did laugh at every death, and how easily it could have been avoided. With the exception of Edwards, which is valid.

I am stuck on the last battle in that game >.<!!

i thought it was tragicaly funny how every one died....and i meen every one but probably 2....then cam bak to life!
  • edited November 2006

I hate when games do that shit.

    "main character death"
"emo scenes from all remaining characters"
"remaining characters pull together to win for their fallen commrade"
    "remaining characters win"
"so called dead character walks back in and says 'hey guys lol!'"

    -_-
