    That's random. Yay random.
    More capitals would be nice.
EDIT: Since Agentcel's gone, is mjc in charge now?
  • edited December 2006
Wait... When did Agentcel get banned?
    EDIT: Oh. That's when.

Don't think so. He was the prize man. I can't draw to save my life, unless everyone likes stick figures. Or we find another prize offering.

it would seem that your in a pickle here
  • edited December 2006
I'm not in a pickle. I'm under no more obligation to save this contest from death than you are. We're both just judges. It shouldn't be any more my responsibility to save the contest than it is yours just because I've been participating longer. If you'd like to save it, come up with some ideas instead of telling me "Well you'd better think of something."

Anyway, to start, maybe we can have submissions for new contest themes from everyone. And we obviously need a new artist for prizes, or think of a different kind of prize.

o well im sorry i didnt meen for it to seem that i was puting all the responsibilty on u but mearly saying that we need to find a answer for this

but anyway ill be trying to think of things to reward as a prize...

I could do art for prizes, I suppose, although it may not be quite up there with Agentcel's prizes.
  • edited December 2006
Just have the winner pick the next theme.

    Not a bad idea...

If you wish to try, that'd be great. Do you also want to judge, then? I figure if you're going to draw, you should at least get your two cents in on the entries too.

Honestly, there doesn't really need to be prizes or anything. Anyway, you could totally make it so the last winner has to make something nice for the next winner, that way everything stays nice and predictable, no worrying about who'll do what because they'll already know.

I'd say judging could just go out in poll form, do we even have polls here? I think we don't.

Anyway, I'm saying, keep the responsibility moving between people and make it a community thing, since it kinda was already anyways, it takes the pressure off.

I agree, I think just letting the person pick the next one is enough, with the respect of their peers. Why should we have to get prizes? Surely the fun is in the making of the comic.
  • edited December 2006
The problem with that is that if, for example, I won, I can't really make anything cool for the next winner. You might block people from entering if they know they have to make something for the next guy if they win.

And yes, we do have polls, and that's a good idea too, along with letting the winner pick the next theme.

    I like that idea.

Your Golden Master is here to save you! Judging delayed to tommarow!

*Kids in the background go "yaaay!"*

    Who are you?
  • edited December 2006
and what did you do with Agentcel?

    Please don't squeeze the Charmin!
  • edited December 2006
*Agentcel does Chuck Norris-style roundhouse kick in the air with maximum amount of awesomeness* You'd better believe it's me. Or I'll also be forced to release my boomerang on you!

The sprite comic contest (as we know it) lives! Hurrah!
  • edited December 2006
But I don't know it, does that make me a bad person?
  • edited December 2006
    Nope, just new.

Also, it would be great if you were a mac user without a mighty mouse. The irony would be brilliant!
  • edited December 2006
Welcome back, dude! But if you ever post crap like that again, I'm not gonna offer any support.

I am. No, litterally, I'm a Mac user and I use a wireless keyboard and mouse. The mouse just happens to have two buttons. Opposed to what people may think, the right-clicking on a Mac works really well, in fact, better than opt-clicking. I don't understand why Mac sticks with using the one button system. It's really stupid.
  • edited December 2006
I know, I use a mac too, but the common misconception is that you cannot right click.
  • edited December 2006
And when the contest is about Macs, feel free to keep discussing them here. But this time the contest is about SNES sprites. Seriously, make a Mac thread or something. It gets annoying how the thread gets taken over every time someone mentions a Mac.
  • edited December 2006
Don't worry, I doubt it was gonna get any further than that.

Can't wait for judging on the wings of the newly returned agentcel
  • edited December 2006
Not to sound whiny or anything, but:
I know judging is today, but what time?
  • edited December 2006
    Now time!

    1.Amoeba Boy
    2.Hamelin
    3.Night Lord
    4.Slick

    Amoeba Boy, you win!!

    Choose your prize etc.,ect.

But really, Hamelin's comic was a very, very close 2nd, and Night Lord's comic was also awesome!! Slick made an okay entry as well, and I think he'll keep improving. But I mean, who can say no to Willy being a party pooper? It doesn't get more awesome. Hamelin's sprite comic was of good writing and quality as well, but it was mostly random violence...^_^'. Reminds me of my old sprite comic...*ahem* anyway...Link as a terrorist was also pretty good, it gave us many laughs. Slick's comic was entertaining, and it made me laugh.

EDIT: Whatever day Judging Day is, it's really a random time...
