I saw that day
Lost my mind
Lord, I'll find
Maybe in time, you'll want to be mine

...those lyrics have nothing to do with the comic, I was just thinking about that song as I made this post. Then I played the song.

What's Saria so upset about? We've all been there. A lazy Sunday afternoon, your friends are all busy, and you're cought up on all your work, so you destroy a town and all its inhabitants.

If I had a nickel for every time I used my powers for even gains or razed an entire town and its inhabitants to the ground, I could probably buy myself a nice lunch or something by now.

Maybe the town had it comin'.

It's funny. I've been staying away from Demon Days. Instead, I've been listening to G-Sides quite often. So, I couldn't possibly have those lyrics in my head. However, I have done my fair share of repeating the words "Ghost Train" quite often.

Also, the Miscreant seems like a swell enough guy to hang around with.

The Miscreant's going to get a spanking now!

Is this going to lead to exposition? If it leads to exposition, I won't say anything, but I won't be happy. Lord knows I won't be happy.
  • edited March 2007
    You already said something!

Everything in life leads to exposition.

I had forgotten that Saria looked like that. I don't mean to offend, really, but she looks a bit boyish.
  • edited March 2007
No offense taken. I'm not Saria.

    No interference? what about Zelda?

    EDIT: nvm
  • edited March 2007
all this referencing to the Miscreant's REAL name is quite suspensful. Whatever you do, Mario, DON'T STOP UPDATING!

That would be QUITE a shame, to say the least!
  • edited March 2007
ok, ok, cool, cool. Suspense is cool. NOW and epic BATTLE!!!! right:confused: right.

    -oh so repetitive.

    Huh?
  • edited March 2007
    Zelda is not a sage.
  • edited March 2007
Yes she is. She is the seventh sage.
  • edited March 2007
Yeah, but what about the more immediate discrepancy? Saria pulled Link out of harm's way and gave him a new power. Or does that not count because it's against the Miscreant? Even so, how about whenever they help Link against Ganon? Unless that doesn't count because that's their sole purpose in life and they can't interfere with anything other than battles between Link and Ganon. The sages need to re-write their bylaws.
  • edited March 2007
Or how about this, Mario makes a comic, wherein the sages can do whatever they want.
  • edited March 2007
I was only talking about what's been said within the comic.

Well, if we were going by the game, Ruto would have given Link a Jump spell instead of the laser-sword thing that he'd normally start with.

Also- I do not care who is and is not a sage. Whether you like it or not, there is no clear-cut storyline behind the Zelda games. There is absolutely nothing that solidly ties them all together.
  • edited March 2007
Ruto didn't give him the laser sword, she made him aware that it was a power he already possessed. And Ruto never gave him Jump spell, though he did obtain that spell in Town of Ruto. Zelda Comic is only based on the world of Zelda II, it's not a word-for-word reenactment of it. Zelda Comic is an original entry in the Zelda series (one made up by me, in fact).

Though it was stated that Zelda was a sage in Ocarina of Time, it was pretty clear that she wasn't like the rest of them. While they all remained in spiritual form when Link traveled back at the end of the game, she kept her mortal form and presumably got to keep adventurin'. So she's obviously not bound to the same rules they are (you can assume that her being the guardian of the Triforce of Wisdom affords her a special status that the other sages do not possess).

I've not posted anything here yet, as I have nothing to say on the comic. Nothing at all.

I will however say that your RSS feed is broken, mario.

    (Spoiler)
Yeah, and we all know how well they did at THAT in Twilight Princess

Not relevant to the topic. Also, works fine for me.

You get us all hyped up about the miscreants name and then you make Saria refuse to CALL HIM BY IT!*(^$?>! Your fiendishness knows no bounds.
  • edited March 2007
I hope his name is never revealed. Mario should just keep alluding to it and never have anyone actually say it.
  • edited March 2007
Why would she shout out The Miscreant's name when there's no one around to hear it? It's not like she's gonna lean toward the camera and whipser it into your ear, aardvark.
  • edited March 2007
That'd be pretty cool if she did.

Then we could have a jam session.
  • edited March 2007
    And snickerdoodles!

Like Gonzo's last trumpet note in the beginning of the muppets?
