    Also, I've just noticed that Link NEVER drops his sword. Ever.

    At the end of The Muppets CD-ROM, Gonzo gets to finish the song (and says "didn't think I could do it, did you?").

    Link does too drop his sword! Clearly you've never gotten to the final boss in Ocarina of Time.

    He has become "one with the sword." It is now an appendage of himself, an extension of his sprit.
