    No, in the first book while fighting a giant troll, Harry defeats him by wrapping his arms around the troll's neck hanging on it's back (as a distraction), and then sticking his wand up the troll's nose!

    ((I've been re-reading Harry Potter for the past month or so (before I read the last book), so I will at least know more about harry potter than the average person for roughly 5 months. At that time, i will forget most of what I read))
