Saaaad. :( Poor kitty.

That's okay, I'll be friends with the animals I don't torture and murder. :D

Augh, all you people talking about soda... makes me sad. I remember when I didn't have to worry at all about how many calories I consumed... *sigh*. Now I'm a vegetarian/partial vegan who never snacks and I STILL have a bit of excess chub. Ah, youth...
-
I enjoy Mountain Dew well enough. But I'm trying to not drink soda anymore, so I can't indulge.

Kalamazoo, Michigan. 1:30 PM (or so) Front view: (pretty, isn't it?) Back view: And, for good measure, our garden out front. It's a little janky looking because some of the plants didn't make it through the winter so we had to get new ones. They're a lot smaller than the dianthus got.

Unbeknownst to the developers, the game was defaulted to super hard mode. In addition to completing the objectives they set out for you (many of which included flying through rings in the sky) you also had to go through the entire game without getting stuck in the ground or in the walls. That in itself is one of the…

Superman 64 anyone?
-
Ooh, fun.
-
Ha, that was fun.

Now now, though certain members may be younger than us old farts, we have to remember that they represent the future, and as long as they can manage their behavior in acceptable ways, we'll have to tolerate their jubilant shenanigans. Ah youth...

((Okay, so I know I said I'd update soon... and I lied. Partially it's because some people haven't taken actions for some time, even though they're up for them, so part of my lack of motivation is that I'm not sure who cares anymore. Who still wants me to update this? If there's still interested, I'd like to get this going…

And it's more like a real book in that respect. It has e-ink and no backlight so it looks much more like a book than an electronic screen with text. It actually looks really nice.
-
Oh shit, I didn't even see the lines you had drawn around the penis. Hahaha, silly me.
-
Erm... I do believe that that's damage to the art.
-
I know the Kindle isn't backlit. It helps reduce the eye strain, supposedly.

Hungry Earth was pretty enjoyable. It was nice to see the Silurians again, and I'm glad they retained the somewhat moral ambiguity with them. "They're not evil... well, only as evil as [humans] are." I do wish the Silurian's eyes didn't look so human, and it could possibly have been taken care of with special contacts. But…

What's the deal with that Rebecca person in the IE + CSS thread?
-
Most definitely.
-
I feel a bit conflicted about this sort of thing. The biggest part of me is just disgusted by religion, again, for how stupid it can be. Why is it such a huge deal if non-Muslims draw Muhammad? Why do these particular people feel like everyone in the world has to comply with their beliefs? Then I wonder if I'm just being…

Also, the context of this is important. Sitting around with your buddies, drinking beer, playing poker, and talking about the angles you'd need to calculate to kill the president is one thing. Having this conversation as a teacher in a room full of students is another. There'd also be disciplinary action if the teacher…

Though some of you may disagree with me, I absolutely loved 'Amy's Choice'. I've almost always been a fan of episodes that slow down and just deal with the characters, and this episode felt like such great character development to me.
-
((Oh yeah!! I kinda forgotted. I'll update this very soon.))

Okay! Presentation over. Actually it went REALLY well. The questions were good, several people commented on my paper, and I got to legitimately network for the first time in my career. The department chair organized the panel, and he was very impressed. My future is looking brighter and brighter. =D
-
Arrrgh... I'm giving a paper in like 2 hours at the largest gathering of medieval scholars in the nation. There may be 10 people at my session... there may be 50. Who knows? Urrgh. And all I keep thinking is that someone's going to get up during the Q&A session and make me look like a retard. Wharrgarbl. Pressure. I'm…

Glad to hear that! Ferrets are indeed awesome. Our friends have three, and they're so much fun.
-
Alrighty! Done.
-
Teeth might also work. Fun movie.

Touche.

I do really enjoy what Moffat is doing with River Song here. This is the sort of thing that, you're right, DI, I love most about the show but that it doesn't do very often. They hint strongly that the Doctor is just freaked out by the idea of River because she's a certainty in his future, and as has been hinted several…

I was kidding, actually... I was hoping the use of the word 'ruffian' would have given it away. But no, I'm totally cool with facial hair. Like any hair, I find it more visually appealing if it's well groomed, but even then I'm not really a huge fan. But some faces work better with facial hair than others. My face does not…
