As you're all aware, Quitsy was ill a few days ago. She's a lot better now, but it has shown me how short life is and how lonely quitsy gets (The reason she was ill was because she was pining for me) so I bought a new ferret, a Polecat Jill called Lilly.

Working on integrating them, they're getting along fine at the moment :)

I don't want to be too pessimistic here, but do be careful. I don't know how reliable this is, but it's worth considering. "Ferrets who have had the disease remain carriers for some time afterward -- nobody's quite sure how long, but the best estimate is now six months, maybe longer."

But... it's an animal. Of course they have short lives.

Turtles have longer lives than humans. I understand what you meant, there, rodents have short lives. But you know what he meant. It would still have been a short life for a ferret. You can guess based on averages, but you never know how much time you really have left.

Firstly, ferrets aren't rodents, they're mustelids. They live about 6 years. :)

Additionally, the vet confirmed it's not ECE, rather a simple issue of dehydration and a small tummy upset caused by bacteria, while ECE is viral. So they're fine to keep together the vet said.

I must come back here after lurking for a long time to say I finally met a nice girlfriend finally after 17 years of bullshit. Life is much more awesome when you've got someone to love.

That irrelevant. After all, humans are animals, and lots of other animals have longer life spans than humans (Like sea turtles for example).

Edit: Error noted and fixed... I always forget about that. Thanks Behemoth!

Excellent. I was wondering why you said you got an antibiotic from the vet. And I learned something new, yay!

I just got through 4 days straight of acting in a play and partying. God. DAMN.

I discovered that my toilet is close enough to the wall that I can lean back against it while I pee.

I have never known such comfort.

I just got a full time job doing inventory for an internet bookseller. It's M-F 9-5 and it's down the hill from my house so I can walk to work.

    Fuck. Yes.
  • edited May 2010
A standard 9-5 within walking distance? Not bad at all.
  • edited May 2010
Walking distance? That is pretty awesome. I moved to a new apartment two weeks ago just to cut my daily commute from 45 minutes down to 20.

GUYS I am so freaking pumped right now!!! I thought my GPA was going to drop this semester; I fell really behind in the beginning of the semester and I was just generally struggling in all of my classes... and I just found out that I made an A and a B minus in the classes I was thinking I would make Cs in, and my GPA actually went UP (just a teensy bit) instead of lowering!!!

    THIS IS SO AWESOME!!

I wasn't going to go out tonight at all, but it is time to CELEBRATE!!!!

Not bad at all. I know I got mad when I got a B 'cause that singular B marred what would have been a perfect GPA, but I'm some kinda freakish super nerd. It basically said so when I took those personality profile things. An "INTJ" I'm pretty sure it was.

Good job on the doing-better-than-you-thought-you-did though.

Yeah, I totally respect the work ethic but I would NEVER be happy living like that. I'm a freakin social butterfly... I need people to talk to and hang out with, constantly. This is also why I don't think I could ever live in a small town.

I've always wanted to move to New York. I think I would like it a lot, even without the southern hospitality

I just found out they're bringing In N Out to Dallas :)
  • edited May 2010
Yeah, I bet you love In N Out.
  • edited May 2010
    Mish Does Dallas?
  • edited May 2010
    I am OK with this.

Hey now. Don't get your hopes up.

I finally got my freaking Christmas present!!! (Freaking slowpokes) Just Cause 2!!! Huah! And I just happened to have 5 bucks on my PSN so I could grab both Add-on packs too. (Plus the free one and the pack that came with the game.)

Edit: I am the glitch MASTER. I have been playing this game for not 2 hours and already flown though a wall. Can't get back out though...
  • edited May 2010
    Superman 64 anyone?
  • edited May 2010
I never actually played Superman 64. I've heard it was bad.
  • edited May 2010
Unbeknownst to the developers, the game was defaulted to super hard mode.

In addition to completing the objectives they set out for you (many of which included flying through rings in the sky) you also had to go through the entire game without getting stuck in the ground or in the walls. That in itself is one of the hardest tasks in video game history.
  • edited May 2010
Just as bad was a power rangers game for the N64, it sucked.
  • edited May 2010
They have Power Rangers video games???

Just got back from orientation at UConn. I got the last seat in Elementary Chinese and none of my classes are before 11 AM.
  • edited May 2010
Congrats! Sounds like a fantastic semester!

You're going to Uconn? My cousin went there. She was on the basketball team.
