You guys fail at being supportive patient individuals. Is this how you treat middle school kids in person too?

Honestly, I don't think any of us around middle school kids that often IRL.

I'm mean spirited in person, yeah.

Part of the reason why I seek succor in the cynical arms of the internet is because I don't want to deal with people that need me to worry about their delicate psyche and keep them from confronting the anger I feel when reading their terrible posts.

    That and the porn.

I'm changing my ways for good just to let you guys know.

Or perhaps he has attempted to compare his comic with such legends as Bob & George...

Bob & George is shit (sorry Matt, but it's true).

Er, I made my comic because I knew that I could make a better comic than Bob and George, so I know it's true.

I don't hang around many middle school people, however one of my best friends (for five years before he moved back to California) was an immature kid one grade below me (immature as in seemed to be two, maybe three grades below me.) I only grew to like him because I was patient and finally learned that he was much smarter than he let on. Not only that though, my little cousin is a freaking genius, he's like 12 and I'm STILL sure you people would appreciate his presence.

    We're not. Fuck off.
  • edited June 2009
Well that was kinda rude. I certainly wouldn't say something rude to someone who got back from being banned.

ugh, won't this abortion of a thread die already

I would, because people get banned for a reason. It's not like coming back to school after a few sick days.

This is what happened to mario. He was kidnapped by his evil twin a few years back and is posing as him right now. The real mario is trapped in the closet. The evil mario broke the key so the real mario can't get out and escape. The real mario updates his comic three times a week while the evil mario doesn't bother updating the comic cause he is lazy while the real mario isn't lazy. There you have it. That is what happened to mario.

In response to the Mario is trapped in a closet bit, I didn't know whether to do a homosexuality joke, or an R. Kelly joke.

    I chose R. Kelly:

Ya know I realized, if people want comics that badly they could probably get them pretty quick if they all give you like ten bucks per comic, and then you could make like 50 more comics, get some 500 bucks from some thousands of people, and retire.

Or at least some dozen people and get a used car or something.

I think it's adorable how so many people have been loyal to zelda comic for so long. Mario, do you realize just how many people probably lurk around here because of you?

I mean, when we were talking in the "how did you get here" thread, sooo many of the members found the forum through zelda comic. Even after all these years you still have a fan base!

Yeah, you have lots of fans, and, I'm actually a new one.

I found Zelda Comic this past Sunday afternoon, and finished reading the latest episode this morning.

Needless to say, I'm hooked, and require more updates.

'Tis the mark of a true master, keeping a massive fan base with years of inactivity.

I am genuinely flattered by everyone continuing to follow the comic. It's true that I would probably be more prolific if there was monetary gain, but I never wanted to get on Nintendo's bad side.

New updates will come, but I'll never update regularly as I did when the comic started. Since then, I've entered the work force full-time and moved out of my parents' house, and earning money so I can eat has to be the higher priority. I promise I won't end the comic prematurely, but it could very well be several more years before the story is all told. I really do appreciate everyone's patience.

I'm one of the few who came from places other than Zelda Comic, but I enjoy it just the same. I don't fret over the slow drip of updates, but then I have numerous other diversions to keep me occupied and I hang around here often so I'm almost at ground 0 when a new strip does drop.

So does this mean we won't be seeing another episode for 2 more months?

Don't worry, I know at least one comic that updates slower. *wink*
