EDIT: Sadness. We'll just have to rebuild.
  • edited March 2011
Sorry guys. According to the logs someone named wthwagga logged into the server from 18:58-19:19. The chat logs don't indicate anyone noticing the damage before then, and I don't recognize the name, so I'm going to assume this guy was the culprit.

I'm going to implement a whitelist to protect the server from anonymous griefing in the future. DM me your username and I'll add you whenever I'm at the computer. Sucks that we have to do it this way, but it's the only way to stay safe.

Ooh, v 1.4 is out! Mario, says the server is outdated... I'm guessing that just means you have to apply the new patch.
  • edited March 2011
Server should be updated to 1.4 now. Go wolf it up!
  • edited March 2011
    Yay!

Unfortunately, though, now that v 1.4 is out, my FPS-increasing mods have stopped working. And it seems the update also hasn't done anything to solve my mysterious desktop lag issue. So I'll be away until my mods can get updated.

    OMG YOU GUYS WOLVES
  • edited April 2011
    Indeed.
  • edited April 2011
Those still aren't nearly big enough to be wolves.

I bought myself a creeper saddle from the loot store here

    It's awesome!

Wait, what? There are RAPTORS now!?

    The horror!

(I set up a server for Vienna and myself, opped her and we just griefed the shit out of it. We've had to change maps a couple of times due to ruining levels :D)

I log in to a dead character, and for some reason I can't respawn. Does anyone know if this problem is serverside or clientside?

    Edit: nevermind, I got through.
  • edited April 2011
Bruce that might be the coolest attempt to make bacon I've ever seen. Just sayin'.

If notch added raptors, I would probably go cower in a corner in the fetal position.

    In real life.

Is there something up with the server? I'm getting timed out. Not sure if it's me or not.
  • edited April 2011
Looks like a memory leak. I'll restart.

I'm not a senior enough member to send messages, but can I get onto the whitelist to get into the server all the same? I'm not especially good at the game, I have no comprehension of redstone contraptions or 'coasters, and I bought it about 3 weeks ago. I do enjoy playing a lot, and after seeing the commune, I would really like to join. By that I mean that I have already seen the commune, and think it's awesome. Oh, and my username is Quarik.

    And yea, it was done.
  • edited April 2011
Cool. Thanks very much. Are there any rules for the server? Apart from common courtesy, I mean.
  • edited April 2011
    No fat chicks.

Which is why Vienna doesn't go on it :D

    Don't burn down the library.
  • edited April 2011
Indeed. Does anyone know of any really good texture packs and/or mods?
  • edited April 2011
The first several rules involve there being no rules. Beyond that, don't punch people with dogs because you'll die and it totally isn't anyone's fault. :/

But yes, be respectful of other players and their creations. We do encourage collaboration at all opportunities. There's a bulletin board near the base with project statuses if you're looking for something to help out with.
  • edited April 2011
Well, the mods that I use for my laptop are Optimine and CAF-Mod... those help me with my FPS, if that's an issue for you. As for texture packs, I like Misa's 64x64 pack.

I kinda screwed up the waterwalls for the foyer. I fixed them for practical use (I think) but the flows are different and don't look as good. I placed a block that diverted water and ended up having to block off all the water and reset it so that it didn't flood the room. I placed everything back as well as I could, but I fear the doorbell may need a check-up. The block was placed to cut off the flow of an accidental water bucket placement thingy. I think it's alright, and the doorbell still sounds, but only one note. Many apologies.
  • edited April 2011
Actually, mario, I might be able to reset the flow but I won't for now, unless the wall is made with water source blocks in a ridge on top of the glass?
  • edited April 2011
Oh my god he's double posting!
  • edited April 2011
You can't do that you know.
  • edited April 2011
Bruce put the waterwall together originally. I have no idea how it's configured, so I generally don't touch it.
