You, my friend, are correct. Thanks.

And I thought it was just a name Mario brought up on the forums after, but I didn't see episode 200.

Speaking of episode 200, the glowy speech bubbles when the sages talk are cool looking.

As for panel 27, I think it's "hardships", not "harpships". Just some two year, three month late criticism.

    I never noticed that. Huh.

Alright, I don't know about you guys, but I can't stay on topic anymore. There's a limit to how long I can stay on one topic. It's know as A.D.D. Anyways, what is Mario doing? Did he replay Zelda 64 and get stuck on the water temple again? (I hate that lvl so much)
  • edited June 2006
    That's my favorite level.
  • edited June 2006
The Water Temple isn't difficult if you play it in one sitting. Problems arise when you save and quit, then come back to it later, as you may lose all recollection of where you've been. At least, that's what happened to me.

I've finished a new comic, though it's somewhat short. It will go up Thursday evening as a Friday update, as an attempt on my part to conform to a Monday/Friday update schedule. Many apologies for the delay.

All is forgiven with every high-quality update.

Yeah... I don't like the level much.
  • edited June 2006
    I never played Zelda 64.

I always got frustrated with the dungeons, so I'd just take the "big item" and then see if the next dungeon was any easier. I think the only adult dungeons I ever beat were the Forest Temple and the Water Temple. Maybe the Fire Temple too, I'm not sure.
  • edited June 2006
I kinda cheated on the game. As soon as I was an adult and got the hookshot, I would immediately go and get the big goron sword (alot harder considering death mountain was still blowing all over the place at that point). That made the dungeons marginally easier.

The Biggoron's Sword is lame. Just swing the Megaton Hammer horizontally. Does the same damage, no pesky recoil from the vertical attack, and no sidequest hassle. It's pretty fun kicking Ganon's ass with the Hammer.

You shall not disrespect the work of Big Goron! You shall disrespect the work of his half-assed brother though...

It's a cheap-ass weapon that you don't even need. I give respect when deserved, like to those who play through the game without Z-targeting. ^_^
  • edited June 2006
I don't know whether to respect someone like that, or slap them for being silly.
  • edited June 2006
Bah! I say use the hookshot to defeat Gannon and master sword for everything else.

I could never get past the Forest Temple for some reason.

What about someone like who plays the game without L targeting (gamecube version, never had it for N64) but also uses the Biggoron Sword? I mean, it's so effing big that you don't even NEED to L target. :p

But Nightlord, you can get the Biggoron's Sword BEFORE the Hookshot. Hell, the first things I always do when I get to the adult section are this:

    1. Get Epona.
    2. Get Biggoron's Sword.

I once watched a friend of mine beat gannon with the hammer while wearing the iron shoes the whole time. I think he might also have done it without taking any damage. Not having actually done such things myself I can't speak about it being fun but it was certainly funny.

    AHHH!!!! VERY BAD MEMORIES!!!11one >_<

Oh, why is there a gun to the screen? It's not the TV's fault that it's showing the water temple.

I never really found those things rewarding enough to do immediately after I enter the adult part. I would always get both of them done while procrastinating before the Water Temple.

...And the gun is up to the screen because it is the TV's fault that it shows me the water temple. Ya know, wireing and technical stuff far too complicated to discuss.

Me too, but in the opposite order. And the GC version kinda sucks, like the pause screen takes too long, and you get occasional wobbly moments where the emulator goes a bit dodgy. I just play my N64.

PS: You say you don't need to L-Target, well just try hitting a keese with your big goron sword...

How can you get the Biggoron's sword without the hookshot? I thought you need it to hookshot across the broken Geurdo's bridge to get the saw or whatever.

ETA: In fact, don't you need the Longshot to do that? What sort of wacked out crazy things are you doing?!
  • edited June 2006
I think your memory's starting to go MacJake, you crossed the bridge on the back of Epona.
  • edited June 2006
There, There Jake, don't worry, we'll be here to look after you...
  • edited June 2006
Now I do feel like my memory's slipping. You can jump that gorge with Epona?
  • edited June 2006
Of course you can, otherwise it'd be inaccessible until you got to Water Temple.

I'm jumping over the bridge on Epona. ;)

I think you need a longshot.I watched a friend play this game.

Oh, and I think that we are WAY off topic. We went from grammar to video games.WTF?!
