No hating on yourself. Not allowed. There's always a way to fix it.

ayup. any more serious entries? I thought that Mario might inspire you guys to take this seriously....heh ehh...but at least Mjc was on topic. Kirby-start entering comics that are on-topic. now

I was hoping to inspire as well. A sprite comic contest looked like a lot of fun. Try harder, everyone!

For my round one prize, I request a drawing of Princess Zelda! She's so cool!

kirby, you have your own topic. As a person who is trying to enter this contest and not get his entry lost in a page of comments on your non-contest comic, I ask you to please keep your pokemon wollys in your pokemon wolly topic from now on.

And on the note of not losing my entry, here it is again.

    Title:SEGA says NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
i bet this ups the competition:)
  • edited October 2006
    ....Woah....

    That was...terribly inane...
  • edited October 2006
*looks up word* yes, it is inane. No offence monkey boy, but comics usually have panels.
  • edited October 2006
I think, even if that was any good, the fact that Nintendo is the one telling them no instead of SEGA means I'm still winning. ^_^

    Not very hard is it....

Obviously it is, otherwise I wouldn't be the only one entered so far. :P

I bet everyone here is actually a really good sprite comic artist buy they are very lazy.
  • edited October 2006
Ah...pfft. I bet that in a year this'll be the biggest contest on the net. XD Ya just gotta give it a chance to grow in popularity.

I could do a nice sprite comic. Or I could do homework instead. I can't procrastinate forever.
  • edited October 2006
    ...or can you?
  • edited October 2006
    Yeah! prove it!!!!

With the exception of Mario and The awesomeness of Melted Johnny Cake...these are all poor...even the award. I wouldn't even enter a contest for that reward. I don't mean to be a total bitch, but if everyone who sees a good sprite comic like mario's tries to do sprite comics, this forum would be cluttered...wait..Oh snap!

Self served, sorry. Anyways, I get it's all for fun and all that, and a true reward can't be given out, but I think it's kind of pathetic. I realize there will be many nay-sayers of my view, but hey, it's just what I noticed.

I didn't mean to discourage you, but if you read my post in your exclusive comic thread, i went into some more detail. I'm sorry, I persecute people often, I don't like the fact that people lie just to please others. If I don't like it, I'll say it. But, it's my opinion, others are allowed to think as they please. I just try to influence them. Heh.

    Okay...maybe I overreacted. Sorry ^^'
  • edited October 2006
You didn't over react, it's perfectly reasonable for your reaction. I think i'd be pretty annoyed if someone came in and basically picked apart and messed with something I did or like. i'm the badguy here i think.

I've never actually made a sprite comic, but I feel confident enough in my abilities that with enough time I believe I could produce something of decent quality, though I could not promise that any joke(s) I might put in would be funny.

That said, I choose to spend my time on my homework. College is expensive and I aim to get what I can out of it. I'm in for game design. Making games would be more awesome than making sprite comics wouldn't it? I'm not sure if I got the skills to produce anything on my own, though. Lacking a team, I don't know that I'll ever get anything significant made, but I figure on trying.

If y'all want to see more of my work (such as the animation I linked in a thread a short while ago) I could possibly show it off by individual request as I have no means of mass distribution of things that are not pictures or videos.

    Good boy! *pat pat*

I really need to get around to making a sprite comic for these things! I'm so swamped with stuff however that it won't be for awhile...

Ignoring Ryoga's totally uncalled for insults, is there some kind of time limit to this thing? I know that my two year old comic isn't that great, and I'd hate to win because I was the only one who entered, but on the other hand, I'd also like to see it move on to another topic where I might be able to think of something fresh to enter.

I see your point. I think that this round will end in 3 days.
  • edited October 2006
    Ok...
lets try this again. (with minimal effort)
Now it makes more sense. (in a nonesence kind of way)
Now has 3 thats right 3 pannels:eek: . (the bare minimum i suppose)

Slowly working his way up to making something worthwile of a random peoples time!
