All the sages and The Miscreant's identy

edited August 2007 in Zelda Comic
Yes, as we all now know the Miscreant was a sage. Now all that is left to do is figure out which sage he is. Now here is my theory of deduction.

A) It can't be anyone who visited Link.
B) It can't be a girl (the miscreant seems like a guy and we all know it)

This Leaves Darunia as the only option for a sage. Now this isn't practical as stated in (insert comic number here) Darunia was with the sages. So there must be an eight sage. If there is an eighth sage then the whole domain of Hyrule would be thrown into chaos. Also if you have any better ideas let me know.

I'm pretty sure its a character that has never been revealed as a sage, because Mario has stated before that people have (unknowingly) correctly guessed the idenity of the miscreant. And its pretty clear its none of the 7 sages. So its someone else.

To be fair, people have guessed The Miscreant to be a sage in the past, so that very well could have been the unwittingly correct guess.

Looking at the past information provided I think it's (and don't laugh at me for this) Mido. I mean he has a town named after him and only the sages have towns named after them so it makes sense. right?

I'm the Miscreant, it's for sure.

Curse you and your logic, Mario!

The Mido thing is pretty plausible, but I spose we won't know til Mario declares it so.

    I'll second that

Isn't Mido that annoying Kokiri kid?

And if so, wouldn't he be unable to leave the forest?
  • edited June 2007
Saria seemed to be okay leaving the forest, once she attained sagehood.

Not a sage we already know:

Also, the Miscreant could be a girl.

Yes, but that was in the sacred realm not Hyrule. It would seem that as the Sacred realm is magical Saria could stay there, but anywhere else in normal Hyrule isn't likely.

Yes, but you were saying it was in the Sacred Realm. It isn't.

I was referring to Ocarina of Time in which Saria first appears as a sage. This means that your comic creates tremendous plot holes. Just like every good comic should.

I don't think they are really there so much as projecting their essenses. Like when they create the bridge for Link. Even now, Saria is probably not physically there, even though she is able to interact with her environment.

That has to be one of the best ideas I've heard all day. Thank You Behemoth

I still think it's Kasuto, though Mido makes sense too.
    Or Majora.

    Kasuto?

Hey, Mario. I don't recall how much information you're willing to give away but, is it definitely a character from the Zelda world? Is it possible that the miscreant is like, an Ice-climber or something?
  • edited June 2007
Well if it wasn't a Zelda character from somewhere how could anyone guess who he was correctly as Mario said

Kasuto = the town that seems not to be named after anybody in Zelda II.

That makes the most sense, and we all know that with the most sense comes the most confusion.

I just kinda dismissed the ice-climber thing. Now that someone has said it I agree.:o

Maybe he's an anthropomorphised horse phallus, eh AC?

But in all truth, I suspect that should any of us, somehow get it right (a nigh on impossibility) Mario will just change who he is.
  • edited June 2007
Well there aren't that many characters that could qualify as being a sage of that awesomeness so he can't change it too often

...Well, he can be kind of a dick sometimes, but I don't think I'd go that far. (and let that joke die please. It wasn't even funny the first time)
