    Link to the book! I'm always looking for some decent sci-fi.

    Mainly I just read comedy and generic crappy sci-fi.

    It's part of a trilogy by Octavia Butler sold as Lilith's Brood. In this one, an alien race of gene traders, who reproduce with three sexes, come to earth and save some humans after an apocolyptic event, hoping to use their genes. They study them aboard their ship, training them to return to earth, and eventually interbreed. I ripped through the first book, Dawn. Start there.

    I've read two others by her: Parable of the Sower, and Clay's Ark. Parable is a warning for the direction the USA was going in a decade or two ago. When things turn dangerous in California, a girl (who feels the pain of others) heads north hoping to find a place to live in peace and grow her religion. Clay's Ark has an alien STD, makes people want to have more sex and spread the disease, drives them crazy. They give birth to aliens.

    We still need something here. The novelty of the disguise thing has worn off. I'm dry for ideas here, but if nothing comes up I may just do Apathetic January and not have an avatar.

    My name is just gibberish I made up. A Google search for Serephel turns up pretty much just me, and an image search pulls up my photobucket account, where I store photos I've posted on here.

    So... I guess my avatar can be just about anything I want then. I'll have to think about this.

    Looks like "Seraph" like an angelic being of some kind.
