I'm glad you posted this! Apparently most of the background characters are actual cameos from real-life video games. I'm actually a little surprised that Nintendo lent their IP, but I'm glad they did; it wouldn't have been complete without some Mario characters.

I'm kinda super-excited about this movie. Makes me wish Kid Radd would get adapted to the big-screen. ^__^

It's kind of a Donkey Kong clone? But I think that's the vibe they're going for with those characters. They made a free iOS version!
