I'm not single anymore and my best friend isn't mad at me anymore! We're all hanging out tomorrow. I'm a happy camper.

    Hooray for Lauren!

Also, my parents mailed me my saxophone and it arrived today! I can jazz it up at my company's new year party now. It is currently sitting on my desk. It is quite sexy.

I went to go get a haircut, and I accidentally got a facial too. At haircut places in Asia, they often give you massages too. It's part of the whole package. I didn't understand what the lady was telling me as she walked me to my little massage table, so I just picked the medium priced option. Then she came out with a cart of oils and started rubbing my face with creams and stuff for like 30 minutes. It was one of the gayer moments of my life.

But I still got a good haircut in the end. And now my face is soft. So I'm still counting it as a success.
  • edited January 2009
Yeah... but did you ask for a happy ending?
  • edited January 2009
For a facial? How does that work? Do they rub your nose until you sneeze?
  • edited January 2009
Aww... now I wish I did sneeze.

    I got real-life rickrolled yesterday.

My friend Naomi started playing the song and then did the dance, as in the whole dance from the video for me.

I'd normally be pissed, but I like her too much.

Did she put on a pair of short shorts and run up a wall near the end?
  • edited January 2009
    Sadly not :(

It would've been hot as fuck though if she had :D

This Saturday I will perform on my saxophone at the company Chinese New Year party! It will be the sexiest New Years party the company has ever had.

I haven't played in front of people for about 6 years though, so there is still the possibility it will be the exact opposite of awesome success. If that is the case I'll create an anti-success thread to compensate.

Are yu at least practicing to gauge your abilities beforehand?
  • edited January 2009
Are you at least drinking heavily beforehand so it doesn't matter if you suck?
  • edited January 2009
I am practicing. It's taken a bit of time to get my skills back. I remember all the fingerings, and I can do vibrato again. I've got my music memorized, so I'll play it from memory, so hopefully I don't forget in front of everyone. I may have a few people from work over tonight so I can practice playing in front of people.

Or, I suppose I could just get totally hammered before going on stage. That would also be acceptable.
  • edited January 2009
it depends on how much you've practiced if you want to get drunk. Once you've memorized the patterns of doing something, like the rubix cube, you can do it even if you're totally drunk. Good luck picking up your sax, though :tmyk:

On a side note, I've got 15 seconds of my beta AMV done. That's pretty good, considering I started this week, reworked half the video twice, and I'm using non-GUI editing software.

    sexy :)
  • edited January 2009
Some times non GUI is harder to us than GUI but I don't under stand is why you would bother with using command line when you could do the same thing twice as fast with GUI it saves time and looks cool.

(but I do understand using AVIsynth)
  • edited January 2009
oh no, avisynth has almost limitless powers, since you can create an endless amount of functions with the internal filters it comes with. Your only limits are skill and time, which can be worked around. It's getting better, too... unfortunately, not even avisynth 3.0's alpha is out yet. I'm mainly interested in the Linux compatibility, since that's one of the few things holding me from going hardcore ubuntu.
  • edited January 2009
I am not saying avisynth is bad for what your doing what I am saying is that you act like that since you can do something non GUI it is better than any GUI program that does the samething like for example setting up wireless networks you act like using command prompt is the best way to do it when you can do the same thing twice as fast with you Internet browser.

    Oh and what is Viagra
  • edited January 2009
Long story short: It makes older guys that have problems getting erections get erections. Viva Viagra, yay for sex.

EDIT: I only stated you could get the IP address through the command line. I never implied anything else.

And I'm not fanning the flames on this anymore, since we can get into an argument at school just as easy on here, and not piss people off.
