I have not voted. COURT MY VOTE CANDIDATES, APPEAL TO MY SENTIMENTS.

I drove a Honda CB the other day, it was a blast, but not nearly as cool as it would have been on yours, since it has the bwst sticker ever.

Tell me where I got the sticker from for bonus points.

Mr. Panighetti, you have a well documented past of rick rolling the voter populace. How am I supposed to vote for, or have confidence in a candidate with such a long and proud history of trickery and deceit?
  • edited August 2008
well arguably, he's never gonna give you up or let you down. strikes me as a good enough reason to believe.

Yea! You don't see Geoko promising never to make us cry, say goodbye, or tell a lie and hurt us in a catchy song form!

The chains used to be weak. If you waited long enough the chomps could eventually break free.

Mario, in typical fashion, has made no such promise either. He has simply provided you a link to a video about not making people cry, saying goodbye, telling lies, or hurting them. He has never himself said hose things, it's a clever trick people who talk out both sides of their mouth like to use.

I, on the other, would never tell anything but the truth, with or without having to make a promise, unlike my opponent. But if it will make you more comfortable, I promise to speak only truthiness.

Actually, I've totally said those things. I sung the song when I totally rickrolled an entire roomful of people. You were there, so you should remember it as well as anyone.

A vote for Geoff is a vote for poor memory. Better luck next time, old man!

So, gentlemen, when should the election take place? The electorate has made their desire for a roll call vote to be known. Perhaps voting can occur on Thursday? 8 AM to 8 PM Pacific Daylight Time?

    Pure ownage.

Can we push it a little later like, say, early September? I don't mean to draw out the electoral process, but I'm currently undergoing a big moving/job-changing rigmarole, and I'd like the chance to formulate a proper response to Geoff's attack ad (as I'm sure he'd like to formally address mine).

    *finally steps into thread*

Ah, but mario, you're forgetting one last crucial event in your darker past!

Wouldn't you like to tell everyone about the poll editing jerk incident?

Heh. I was just remembering when the chomps were first discovered is all. These days it seems like the chains are stronger though. I don't see them breaking free by themselves anymore, so the problem still remains.

Though I have indeed addressed this recently, I contend that all the votes in that election were 100% legitimate. There was a period of time where forum registration spiked dramatically, and the vast majority of the newcomers were huge Duck Hunt fans. Unfortunately, they all committed horrendous inexcusable acts counter to our high standards of forum netiquette, so I was forced to delete all their accounts, threads and posts. Through a strange quirk in the system, their votes remained in the thread.

That is totally what happened. For reals. You all believe me.

    Stef apparently didn't.

There is no reason to suspect my completely plausible account of the facts. And more importantly, no proof to the contrary.
  • edited August 2008
But you have no proof to back up your own claims. It's just your word against hers.

I also contend that Mario has indeed let me down and made me cry with his lack of zelda comic, devo revo, space college, apple cow, and podcast updates.
  • edited August 2008
The whole community is to blame for podcasts. For the rest... it's Geoff's fault.
  • edited August 2008
How is all the rest Geoff's fault? Is he, in actuality, the true author of all forementioned works? Has everything all been a lie? Even the cake?
  • edited August 2008
    The cake is a lie?!?!
  • edited August 2008
Well, mario. It seems your tower of deceit is beginning to crumble all around you. How do you plan to lie your way out of this one?
  • edited August 2008
    With SCIENCE! of course.
