Oh. The first one is too blurry and the house should have a roof. Looks like crap all around. Delete it. The second one is too small. Remember that you have to put characters and text on top of the background, and even if you double size the second one, you still won't have near enough room.
No, find something new that fits the aforementioned criteria; big and clear. Trying to find backgrounds from a game that was designed for such a small screen may not be the best strategy. You may have to rip backgrounds from a different game.
Look, here is a tip, which i use when i make sprite comics: make them big, like each frame 640x480, then scale it down without anti-aliasing by about 400%, that will make it better
The first one is 300x339 and the second is 320x360.
EDIT OF: OK, here's what you gotta do: first; resize all of your sprites to 200% of their current size, then add the balloons and text.
NEXT: make sure word bubbles are properly placed in order of who is speaking first. It is ok to draw longer tails to connect the speaker to their corresponding bubble. The important thing is that the reader knows who is speaking and what is being said in what order.
THEN: re-read what you have written and make any necessary grammatical corrections.
I second Behemoth. At the very least, fix your grammar (it's spelled grammar, Agentcel :P ). If you have crappy grammar and typos in your dialogue, then no one is going to care to read it.
Okay, there is one thing you've got to do, Kirby, that they haven't mentioned. Use different backgrounds in different comics sometimes...it'll help out with interestingness. Also...there's more (Okay, so I lied ). You're going to want to use some sort of perspective change. Exapmle:
This is obviously overall a poor comic, but a good exapmle nonetheless. Oh, and also: never resize sprites except for on a scale that is a multiple of 100%.
Don't resize to factors of i though, because the result will be quite imaginary.
As for the background thing... You're doing a Pokémon comic, so that's generally bad advice for you. You've got your game backgrounds, and that's it. If you try mixing things up, you get something completely horrible. The only way the background advice can help you is to stop focusing your comic on the damn bedroom. In the game you're in there for a minute tops, they should at least be outside the house by now. Get them the fudge out of the bedroom and get on with the story.

Use neither.
Obviously, not that big though

Yeha, but you're forgetting something. Now the sprites have to be resized that much or else they will look too small compared to their surroundings.
Right! On-topicness!

That was more of my point.
Then use adults instead of 12 year olds.
