I can't really argue. Brawl isn't bad, but melee was just...great.
I've been playing Wanderlust: Rebirth or something like that. Basic graphics, awkward control schemes, unnecessarily long load times, sorta short, lots of grinding, because the higher difficulties can get really tough. Nonetheless, it's got a charm to it that is somewhat appealing. Found in desperation really, but it's something for my local group that really just thirsts for a good LAN-playable action RPG.
But hey, Torchlight 2 hits on the 20th. I'll still have my last week of school to worry about so I'm not sure I'm going to be able to play it much right away.
Ive been grinding away at playing the Starfarer alpha. It's a 2D top-down 4X/space-trader game. Only the combat and the main solar system has been implemented, not leveling or trading, but its awesome anyways.
I'm also on a new(ish) desktop. Pretty old and mostly for media, so I got a new video card.
(GeForce GTX 550 Ti if anyone's wondering. 'Parrently it's pretty awesome for its price point, just runs uber hot. But I'm in a cold basement so whatevs.)
I'm definitely interested in graphics cards. I was recently debating getting a a Radeon 7750 which is very comparable to the 550Ti in performance and price. 550Ti does a little better in some popular games like Portal 2, Startcraft 2, Battlefield 3, etc. (mostly meaningful if you like Battlefield 3 where the performance gain means something) while the 7750 is based on a newer manufacturing process and takes less power (power = heat). Notably, it takes little enough power that some passively cooled models are available, hence my interest considering my 5770 performs so similarly. Too much money to get rid of a fan though.
EDIT: Looks like 7770 prices have come down though, and the Geforce 650 literally just launched a day or so ago...I still gotta find some proper reviews for the 650.
I've got a single 560 and it's fantastic. Can run everything but Minecraft, Kerbal Space Program, and a very heavily modded Skyrim at a steady 60 fps on max settings.

Minecraft doesn't really use the graphics card much, if at all. And yeah, if you start getting too many parts in KSP and it's now running physics simulations for a thousand things at the same time; things tend to melt down a bit.
Other times you're just anxious to get your mitts on Torchlight 2 and don't really care about performance. I got that shit preloaded man! Thursday is the day...well, after I'm done with my classes anyway. Stupid school all interrupting my game time.
I had Borderlands 2 preloaded, and I'm waiting for Torchlight to unlock 'coz I've got that preloaded as well. I've gotta say though, it's almost as bad to have too many games and not enough time than it is to have too much time and not enough games. I'll get to you someday, Indie Bundle. Someday...
Just got around to beating Saints Row 3 so that I can get Saints Row 4 which I hear is pretty good. But now GTAV is out so I don't know what I should be doing.
Likewise, I need to finish Victory Road on Pokemon Black so I can open this copy of Pokemon Black 2 that's been sitting on my desk for a year, but Pokemon X and Y are so close that I don't have a lot of time.
I bought Pokemon X today (I feel like I should've checked the version-exclusive monsters before buying, but it was sort of on a whim). However, I can't start playing it right away because I'm in the middle of Victory Road on Black Version and there are few things worse than leaving a game during a confusing dungeon.

See some charts hither.

STARTCRAFT! I wanna play that game!

you're horrible. any punishment you deserve is justified
Can't argue with a $10 pricetag either.

Video games, slow down! Life, slow down!
I'm working on Black 2 right now. I'm pretty much done for the most part, just need a few more random Pokemon from around the world.
v1.1 doubled the content, v1.2 that's just come out has doubled it again. So yes, there's like 4 times as much stuff.
EDIT: Added my code to my original post on the first page of that thread.
