By funny do you mean like haha funny or fun-ny? One would be laughing and the other would be like, you know, fun but not a lot of fun. Yeah.
  • edited August 2010
Both. Some days I laughed aplenty, some were just somewhat fun. It was all ruined because of those darend double-swedes! And those freaking admins who wouldn't let us conquer the world when we had the manpower to do it.

Sounds like lots of good fun. I just joined a few days ago so I'm still getting settled in. :D

Just finished Suikoden 2. Love love love that game. Everything that was great about the first but so much improved and added. And you're right... the hero and KcDohl (as he was called in my game) were amazing. Especially the Soul Eater rune.. holy christ talk about powerful.

Now it's on to Super Mario Sunshine again.
  • edited August 2010
Huh...that's a crazy coincidence, one of my friends came over with the express purpose of playing Super Mario Sunshine... There's something fishy going on here.

In completely unrelated news I'm playing through FF7 again.

I've been doing a mix of wow and SC2. Half our guild has disappeared to play SC2 exclusively, so we don't do many raids anymore. I've been doing pvp for a change, and I've discovered it's much more enjoyable after you get some gear and resilience rating to go with it.

Same situation here...Except my guild is just getting angry and trying to cling on to our normal raid schedule when 12 people log on...

Went back to playing Steam games until the summer attendance slump is over. =\

You would think MORE people would play during the summer instead of less.

Well I guess the idea is it's nice out and people go out more...even though it's oppressive and humid and I live up in New England...

    Iunno, One of life's mysteries.

Well, I'm 25 or 26 or something, and I'm about the second youngest guy in the guild. Most of my guildies have 10-20 years on me, and many are married with kids on the way. My guild is just Westerners who live and work in China. So, summer and seasons in general have less influence.

We only have like 12 or 13 active players, so since SCII we don't do any raids. Sad. But the PvP is fun, I'm running a 3v3 and 5v5 for grinding arena points each week.

Yeah, I guess it's not a huge deal for you older types. I'd really expect more kids to play that game though, not that kids are the most intelligent people to talk too... but hey, I've met some pretty dumb adults too.

    Pokemon Black.

It has great nostalgia in format, and new joy in fresh pokemon and feel.
  • edited October 2010
If by "Fresh" you mean the same game you've bought 5 times before, but with dumber looking mascots, then you are entirely correct.
  • edited October 2010
By "Fresh" I mean I haven't played this since I was 13 and had Pokemon Red because my brother wouldn't let me play with his pokemans.
  • edited October 2010
Oh, well have fun with that then.
  • edited October 2010
Pokemon White all up in here. It's seriously pretty fun. It's formulaic, but that's because Game Freak learned if it isn't broke then they shouldn't fix it.

Has anyone bought an XBox Kinect? My friend got one for Christmas along with a dance game, I tried it out and felt goofy as hell but HEY it was pretty fun, for at least the 15 minutes I was playing it.

Greg didn't want one... he keeps saying he'll buy it eventually but I know it's more to shut me up than to actually play it. Like I said, though, I've only had about 15 minutes experience on one game. I was looking for a second opinion from someone who isn't a game review on the interwebs.
  • edited January 2011
I've only heard a few people say that it's fun, but I don't know anyone who has one. Buying stuff is out of my price range at the moment. =( Plus I know that if I buy a Kinect, my 360 will red ring out of spite.

Okay, awesome. I've seen this a million times but I don't know what it is. I need you to explain this to me. Is this a browser game, or a free game, or just a regular ol' game? Is there a game mode or is it just a sandbox? I can't watch the videos now, but do they explain it?
  • edited January 2011
All of the above actually. You can play it in a browser or via the EXE. There's a crap free version, but the decent mode costs some 15 Sweden Dollars. As of yet it's just a Sandbox mode (The crap free version) and Survival mode (Pretty sandboxy, but with resource management and enemies and tools and stuff.), but there are other modes planned for later.
  • edited January 2011
It's a wilderness survival game really. With mining.
  • edited January 2011
You can turn off the monsters though... at least I think you can :/

Greg has been playing it pretty religiously for the past month or so, I'm still new to it
  • edited January 2011
You can set it to peaceful yes, and then you even regenerate HP. It's very very fun.
  • edited January 2011
Fallout 3. Holy shit. It's so good.
  • edited January 2011
It is. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I'll have to go back and play that again some day.

Right now I'm obsessively playing Rogue Galaxy... my goal is to completely fill out the Frog Log and win S Rank Insector and all that lovely side stuff. Making decent progress on the weapons log... 100 hours logged so far, though I've heard it takes 200-300 to completely fill it. I may or may not be insane.

Despite only having a total shit hard drive, I can finally actually PLAY Minecraft.
Note to self: Never buy a laptop that constantly overheats.

I played the Magicka demo. I'm not sure why I don't own the game right now. Oh, well I guess all those complaints about bugs, especially with the multiplayer online, etc.
  • edited January 2011
Magicka is VERY VERY fun. It's a little buggy, but it's not as bad as people complain that it is. Atleast, not in my experience with it. Maybe it was terribly buggy before and they fixed it.
  • edited January 2011
They've fixed everything but the occasional multiplayer sync fuck up. Even that's rare if you make sure to join a game with under 150 ping.
