    True.

How the hell did you manage to burn your recovery disc?
  • edited June 2006
A fire. I forgot to unplug my soldering, which fell off its stand, onto the carpet, causing a fire. I was able to stop the fire before it got out of hand, but i have huge holes in my carpet, my room stinks of smoke, and I had to buy new network cables. And obviously my OS X disk was fucked.

If you're interested, here are the photos of my fucked DVD, compared to the still-ok one.

Do you have your own house? Because if not, you're in for a WORLD of shit from your parents.
  • edited June 2006
I dunno about that. I melted a large section of my carpet when I used to live with my olds. They just made me buy a rug to cover it.

Although you seriously need to wonder at the wisdom of having a soldering iron in a carpeted area. Keep that gear near tiles, man. Tiles!

Well, duh, of course a fire. :p

That sucks though. Kinda reminds me of the time I was playing a game on my PC and all of a sudden it hung. So I had to turn it off, but then when I turned it back on and tried to get my CD back, the drive wouldn't open. I took it apart and found that my CD had shattered. Didn't put any holes my carpet, though.

I've managed to go 24 years without setting anything on fire unintentionally.
  • edited June 2006
My parents didn't care, they're just pleased I didn't perish. We're getting new carpets fitted anyway.

    I'm back up to 6.
  • edited June 2006
Wait, you said unintentionally? Then yeah, perfect record for me too.
  • edited June 2006
Me too. Intentionally is a completely different story. :P

I've gone my whole life without burning things other than candles (and that one time when my cat looked like a charmander with fire on the tip of it's tail, but that's a long story. A word of advice:Keep the kitty AWAY from the candles, or you'll have to rename your cat Ash or Charcoal.).
  • edited June 2006
Yeah, cats don't really seem to understand fire. My cat burned her whiskers off my sniffing a candle I had on my dresser. But whiskers burn pretty fast, so she didn't hurt herself.
  • edited June 2006
I know. WE know it's hot as hell, but THEY think it's just another cat-toy. Guess again, Tinkerbell!(Tinkerbell from Stuart Little)

    typos :p

Tip for the future: if your post is going to consist solely of a grammatical correction, you'd be best off not posting at all.
  • edited June 2006
Okay. Back to burning cats then, I suppose.

Google Image Search is very lacking in the pictures of cats lit on fire department. I was hoping I could find a nice one to slap a fun caption on, too.
  • edited June 2006
Because a cat on fire is sadistic and cruel, and thus google won't put pictures of it up there.
  • edited June 2006
Googlw won't, but I will! Don't worry, the top was entirely cut and paste. No cats were harmed in the making of this joke. This is the first in my blog,http://funny-manspictures.blogspot.com

...Why did you post a turd in a sink? Thats got nothing to do with anything. I dunno what game you got that from, but it must be a Teen or Mature based on the content, thus you shouldn't be playing it. (But this is coming from the guy who played GTA at the age of 8, and watch the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre at 7 :-P)

Also, your latest comic blinded me, don't use bright overpowering colours for your backgrounds. If you want something to use, why not try, oh I don't know...Backgrounds. Backgrounds that make the comic appear to take place somewhere as opposed to a magical void of changing colours.

And again: Don't use Jpegs for sprite comics, if you must use Paint, at least save as a .png.

I save it as bmp, but when it goes on it magically turns into jpeg. Must be that fairy dust that powers the orange belt! Anyway, due to my own admitted retartedness, I will delete this blog. But hey, look at the newest episode of The Legend Of Wink!

    And another thing:

You played GTA at age 8?! That's only a year behind my first time!

No, it's because BMP is too big so it gets converted to a JPG automatically to save space! Stop using BMP and start using PNG. I'm not gonna tell you again.

GTA 1 now is considered a very mild game, but at the time it was the crémé de la crémé of violence in video games :)

Also: USE PNG! I think we should put this after every post in this topic to encourage (read: force) you to use pngs.

EDIT: In you latest comic, you didn't position your text bubbles right. It should read from left to right, but you put the fairies speech on the left, even though it comes after "Winks"[sic]

Hey, I already told him that I'm not telling him again. If he wants to make his comic look like crap and get less readers, fine.

What the hell happened over the weekend? What was gross that was then deleted?
  • edited June 2006
Ah yes, you're cut off from the world from Friday afternoon to Monday morning. He put up some picture of shit in a sink and a toilet or something. It was from some computer game, but I don't know what.
  • edited June 2006
He did? Glad I missed it.

Hey! Anyone watch the game? As I'm typing(It is 8:29 pm Mountain Time.) the game is at third period. It would take a miracle for the Oilers to win(I, personally, am an Oilers fan.)!:( And, I changed my comics to png. In my latest, I decided that it was going to go on for a looooong time( the nagging ) if I didn't do it soon. So, check it out!
