Nintendo Wii is officially the best video game system ever, after only about an hour of Wii Sports (thanks, god) I am in love! The Wii gives people who suck at conventional video games (and real sports) to do good and have fun.
And I've learned that Kirby Adventure was already ported to GBA and I own it, so that's pretty cool too. That means there's only two games I really want to get but can't right now: Contra 3 and Kid Icarus. But they'd better make with the Star Fox 64 soon, dammit!
Anyone else pick up the "Everybody Votes Channel" today? It's a free download in the Shop Channel. It pretty much amounts to a series of random questions you can cast your vote on, as well as predict which answer you think will be more popular. It feels like a very cleverly-disguised poll designed for marketing research, but so far the questions are rather benign ("Which do you like more, dogs or cats?"). The prediction thing looks like it'll be a lot of fun, as it will keep track of how often we guessed correctly.
I'm trying to decide what question I'd like to submit. How cool would it be to see your question on the worldwide poll? The answer is very.
Keep at it, you'll get through their server bandwidth overload soon enough.
Does anyone else absolutely love coming home to a pulsating blue console, signifying something potentially new and exciting for download? It's like Christmas!
STAY OFF THE NEWS CHANNEL! THEY HAVE TOO MUCH FUCKED UP NEW- Huh? Poll channel? My blue light has forsaken me! Oh well, thanks for the info, mario. Updating now!
EDIT: This just came out, didn't it? My connection isn't shoddy because I just finished downloading and reading some news.
EDIT AGAIN: Somehow my WEP password changed itself into some silly 5 character code, which is wrong. I don't know how, because I was just reading the news dammit!
EDITS TO THE EXTREME: There. Finally downloading. I hope they find better question writers than GameFAQs has. If I see questions about owning a PS3, Wii, and/or 360 again within a month, I'll scream.
I am slightly disappointed by the current lack of choices, though. They do seem to have plenty of room to fit more options, so I can only hope they'll use it.
As for blue glow, I did get a cool mini-flashlight in the shape of a Wiimote free with a renewal to Nintendo Power, and it sends out a blue light. Only weird thing is, the 1 button is the trigger.
Cleverly disguised market research eh? To be honest if that's what it turns out to be I have very little problem with that. If Nintendo can use this as a tool to see what Wii users think or want, about certain features/games or channels directly, and then if they actually consider any findings. Then that could be a pretty good thing.
Also, mmm pulsating blue light, I was tempted not to turn on my Wii, just so I could watch the light for longer.
Yeah, I'm totally cool with marketing surveys of this kind. I love how they made a game out of the prediction bit, and I know I'll be coming back to place my vote frequently. It's very cleverly tailored to the gamer market that will make use of it.

Well, maybe not, because then I'd definitely have no money.
They should give us free Wii Points for registering Nintendo purchases. Yano, like Europe gets.
Also, YOU LITTLE SHITS! YOU GET TO PLAY WITH PIT!

I submitted "How do you wii?" Answers: "Sitting Down" and "Standing up"
