Let me know when we get Smash Bros., or some other N64 game that hasn't already seen re-release.

So then the question is, will Nintendo give us OOT stateside anytime in the near future, or will they hold it over our heads for a while?

I hope they give us Majora's Mask instead, just to spite you and make me happy.

I'm with Mario, I'll be more psyched for Super Smash Bros. or Mischief Makers.

Ocarina of Time on Monday for the yanks amongst you.

    Yawn!

No really, I yawned just before posting here. The weekend can't come soon enough.

I've been on vacation all week. Nyah-nyah!

Is OOT on Monday for certain?

Oh good, there goes $10 bucks and a lot of time I need for homework.

Galaga '88 and fuckin' ACTRAISER are on deck for Japan (among other stuff like Wonder Momo, which I am alone in liking).

Square Enix went right out of the gate with the best game either company ever made. So awesome.

Super Smash Bros Brawl is coming in June anyway.

    Supposedly

That's not the same game at all! I'd like some relatively old-school back-to-the-roots Super Smash Bros. gameplay please!

Ooh, wouldn't it be awesome if the N64 game was an unlockable feature in Super Smash Bros. Brawl?
  • edited February 2007
Plausible, what with the cartridge being only 16Mbytes.

Or, even better, if by buying the game you get a free copy of Super Smash Bros. on the Virtual Console. That'd rock too!

Yeah, I'm thinking that future retro unlcokables should come in the form of Virtual Console channels. A nice integration with the Wii infrastructure.

Oh! A tangent. Future games that make use of scheduled events (Pokémon, Animal Crossing, etc.) should send update messages through the Wii messaging system, so you'd see e-mails from your mom or Tom Nook alongside the other messages. The Wii calendar could also be put to good use in this manner. An even nicer integration with the Wii infrastructure!

Heh. You wake up with your drive lit, and excitedly turn the Wii only to find that Nook wants more money :)

I'm pretty sure Nintendo said they wanted to do stuff like this.

Where'd you hear this? Last I checked it was still TBA.

seriously, is my strike coming to a forseeable end? Will I finally get out of this friggin box? It's starting to smell in here.
  • edited February 2007
No you may not leave the box.

Yup. Still TBA. I KNOW THESE THINGS.It's not like I check IGN every friggin' day to see if the date is up yet...

My friend went to the gamestop website and it said copies of Super Smash Bros Brawl would ship in (the US) in June.
  • edited February 2007
That far out, I'd say a delay isn't out of the question at this point. I'd leave it at "TBA".

Another week of reporting on Wii shipments and not buying a system. But at least I helped people!

Does anyone else suffer from wii-light syndrome?

Whenever I wake up, I excitedly look out for a lit drive, and if it's not lit up, I feel kind of sad :(
  • edited March 2007
I have solved that problem by not getting a Wii. If my willpower fails me I may get one come the end of the month. Then I will grow extra sad when I remember that I don't have my own tv to hook it to. I will be like Cartman in that one episode of South Park. Except that I'm not fat. And there will be no otters involved.

    But there WILL be atheists...

I know at least a few people (Geoff) are still looking for a Wii (A testament to their success? A sign that Nintendo needs to ramp up production? You make the call), so I figured I'd send on this notice from Wii Fanboy that various stores including Toys R Us and Best Buy will have units on Sunday. Show up early, and good luck!
