    They ARE looking into ramping up production. They were looking into getting another supplier to manufacture them a few weeks ago.

    No it doesn't, unfortunately. Besides, they were only looking at that point. It'd take more time for them to settle on a deal and for the manufacturer to get working on it and for the units to actually start shipping out.

    Edit: Wait...no...look at the power button on the wiimote. Still a cool idea though.
    Edit2: And the second "a" button, and the second "b" button....and the lack of the 1 and 2 buttons, and it's too short to be a wiimote.

    Yeah, a lot of people made mockups back in the day when the Wii Remote was revealed (in prototype form, which didn't look quite the same as the final incarnation).

    Anyone seen any helpful online tips on how to make your own wii from parts at radioshack? I mean, I guess I could actuallly go bowling... but that's just not as cool.

    Randomly too, I wasn't even trying anymore and ended up coming across one. Oh and while I was buying it, apparently some guy who had called and asked to get it put on hold showed up... and was pissed. But, despite one very upset guy, and being shamed by Murphy's Law yet again, box strike settlement phase 1: find a wii, is now complete. next is phase 2: wait patiently, then finally, phase 3, own mario in smash bros: brawl. I can't friggin' wait.

    My dad on christmas waited outside of bestbuy at 3:00 in the morning for at least 2 hours to get one! Its chyeap, and its very fun to play! in fact im typing this from my wii right now...
