I really hope lag isn't much of an issue. But judging from past games and from the commnets made on the blog, it probably will be.

I really should pick up Melee and a Gamecube controller so I can bone up on my Smashin'.

    "You will be dunked!" Awesome!

This is the only reason to buy Brawl. Seriously. This is gonna rock.

I've been playing melee nonstop to practice up.

I just beat Event 51, and I just got the Giga Bowser trophy....

I'm gonna be at my top game when December comes!

I can't beat event 50 to get to 51. Stupid left hand.

Use Yoshi's A-down in midair. Even I could do it, and I suck.

I'm actually looking forward to the single player game a bit. It looks like they've put quite a bit of thought into these subspace guys.

Plus I can't wait to fight armies of ROBs.

OH BOY. Another Pokémon. That is just too awesome for school.
  • edited September 2007
Well, you do need a lot of them for the Poké Balls.

Three updates, all about Snake. The music is awesome.
  • edited September 2007
Arg. More than one update the same day is confusing.
  • edited September 2007
If by confusing you mean awesome.
  • edited September 2007
That too, but at first it seemed like today's update was really small.

Mr. Resetti is an Assist Trophy! And he seems a bit pissed off about it. Awesome!

He appears to put people to sleep.

This is far more entertaining than Bellossom!
  • edited September 2007
I think he'll do a lot more than that.
  • edited September 2007
Does he actually put people to sleep? Or is that picture just there for comical effect because hes so long winded?

That's pretty awesome, I just wonder what he'll be called.

I hope he has a Bad Plaid Shirt.

UPDATE - This has been proven false.

Dang... the other site said "proven true"... though of course there wasn't any proof. But still, I figure somebody from Animal Crossing must be there... they've got the stage and the Resetti after all.

The only person I can really see from AC being a character is either KK or Tom Nook, and KK plays songs on Smashville on Saturday night, so that might mean he's out.

Or...it could mean that you need to unlock him on saturday night.
  • edited September 2007
    Nook appears on Smashville too...

But you know who doesn't? Mabel and Sable Able! They'd make much better fighters than that dumb Sonic guy!

Kapp'n would probably put up a good fight. But the main character would probably be more fun, armed with an axe, fishing rod, bug net and shovel (for burying Pitfalls). The costume changes could cover a decent range of male/female appearances.

If I had to guess though, I'd say we probably won't have any playable Animal Crossing characters. The stuff they have represents the game decently well, methinks.
  • edited September 2007
But you can't have a game included but not a character!

They won't let all the AC fans down. I think.

They can't replace Ness! He's been around since the first Smash Bros!
  • edited October 2007
They were actually planning to replace Ness with Lucas in Melee, but Earthbound 64 was cancelled, so they kept Ness in last-minute.

I think it was Melee... it might've been the original, since it was on the N64. Yeah, Ness was never meant to be in Smash Bros at all.
