Not bad. Proportions aren't quite solid yet; you could use more practice with people. Keep up with the drawin'
Also, the background is cool but feels backwards. Judging by your light direction, the lighter blue would make more sense if it were radiating from the upper left rather than the rear. Or if you were crazy-productive and still had the lineart for this yet you could try leaving the background and recolor the rest so the lighting appeared to be coming from behind the hill)
Sorry, I don't mean to dig into a nice piture, but I feel like I should be saying something more than "Oooooh! Pretty!"
I did, this is just sort of my last hurrah. I haven't played since I quit. I just drew this.
EDIT: X, is this better?
DOUBLE EDIT: Any 13 year old boy who gets flamed for his crappy comic attempts should be required to be directed to this thread, to see what happens when you don't give up and keep drawing.
Um, I've taken a ton load of art classes, let's see...
Outside of school...
-Acrylic painting
-Portrait drawing (Charcoal/Pastel (I took this same class for 3 years or so, for practice)
-Characterature Drawing
-Vase painting
-Drawing basics
Most of these were at a community college on weekdays.
In school (High School up)
-Drawing and Painting I and II
-Media Art (video/photoshop class)
-Sculpture I
And that's that! Those were all since I was about 12. Surprisingly though, despite all the methods I've been taught, I like Flash the best, even though no one really taught me how to. I just kind of take a little bit from every class and incorporate it into my drawings nowadays. And I used to spend hours in my room drawing when I was a kid.
Oh, and I also picked up a lot from reading webcomics and hearing criticisms of them.
Ok, so I found out I've got Flash for a little bit longer, so I thought I'd try something out again. I tried to do Violet from A Series of Unfortunate Events. Didn't really spend hours on it, but it came out decent enough.
Yeah my school counts it as community service actually because they hang them up in the school and it's like a little legacy of your art. It's pretty nice.

Have you ever taken a formal art class before, or is all of this just what you've picked up from drawing a lot?

So yeah, kind of both.
Also that is a hell of a sweet thing to do with ceiling tiles.
