I don't have any Lv. 100s or anything, but I'm proud of this team because I raised them all from wee babies (except for Palkia, of course).
Has anyone else noticed somewhat of a deficiency in certain types of Pokemans? If you want a fire Pokeman you have to either use Chimchar or Ponyta... I would have liked more options.

They did that with R/S/E too. The ONLY good fire one there is Blaziken.
So, is anyone else obsessive with berries? I'm looking to have at least one of every kind of berry, but I can't find anything from number 50 and up. Anyone else have anything?
I disagree, I used a Torkoal pretty extensively and he worked quite well. Of course, I never did PvP battles, and I'm sure that's the ultimate test of worth in Pokemon. But in the game itself Torkoal rocked.
Illithid, are you disagreeing with Spyro's "no fire types" comment, or my "worst generation ever" comment? Because I wasn't talking statwise or battlewise, but just in terms of how cool the Pokemon were.
3rd gen had like six worthwhile Pokemon. Um... Sableye, Zangoose, Azurill, the Arons, Poochyena/Mightyena, and... that's all I can think of right now. Zigzagoon and Linoone were okay. Okay, so that's eight or ten. And Latias/Latios were okay for legendaries, but seemed too similar to Lugia in my opinion.
I was originally disagreeing with the "no good fire pokemon" statement. I don't have any real complaints with the Pokemon they introduced, and I'd need to look at a list of them anyway, as I don't remember much. I think every generation as their cool ones and their crappy ones.
I liked Torkoal, Electrike/Manectric, Mawile, Aron group, Ralts/Kirlia/Gardevoir.... there were some cool ones.
I think of all the starters, second gen were the worst. Not by much, but I didn't like them as much as the other gens.
I think the starters got worse with every generation, except III, which was disproportionally bad. When did they make it a rule that the final evolution of all starter Pokemon has to stink? Aside from Red/Blue, the only final starter evolution I've liked was Typhlosion from generation 2.
The basic fire starters were good in the first three generations, but Torchic's final evo was awful. The flaming-butt monkey is annoying, mostly because I don't like monkeys much at all.
I've always kinda disliked grass Pokemon, but Bulbasaur was cool, and Turtwig is half-decent.
For water types, Squirtle will likely never be surpassed in awesomeness, though the basic forms of all the water Pokemon have been good. Their evolutions were what killed them.
Bulbasaur was the pinnacle of starters, and he evolved well too. Turtwig is the most Bulbasaur-like starter I've worked with, and the dual Ground-type is kind of a neat touch, but Bulbasaur had a much better moveset, and Venusaur could learn Ground-type TMs like Earthquake anyway, so it was easy to balance him out against a multitude of opponents.
Torchic was the only Fire starter I ever used on a first run-through, because Treecko looked stupid. That's right, I went the shallow route. I learned my lesson, since Blaziken was a terrible Pokémon. Though now that I think about it, he'd be a lot better when transferred to Diamond/Pearl, since they've changed the way special and physical attacks work (his Fire-type moves would be mostly physical and he's got a high Attack value, so he could deal some heavy damage).

You forgot Swampert. Swampert owned Hoenn.
THe only things that could take him down were: Grass types, or Flying/Water types. A simple earthquake or two took care of grass types. As for Flying/ Water, I only know of Gyrados and Pelipper.
Pelipper wasn't that great, and Gyradoses are rare.
I haven't played Pokemon in a while. I need to finish getting Dive Balls onto my Diamond file. I bought 50 Dive Balls, and I caught 50 Zigzagoons and Wurmples in Sapphire to hold them while I transfer them. Don't ask why I felt a need to have a Dive Ball in my Diamond game, much less 50. I only have like two more days of transfers to do...
I've been taken over by consoles and Etrian Odyssey... besides, all I really have left to do is evolve stuff, which I'm bored with, or finish Colosseum, which is downright painful. I'd rather play Castlevania.
Although you can be sure that when the first Nintendo event comes out where we can get Darkrai, I'm going to get back into it.
I could probably personally make better 3D Pokemon in about a week. And I've never even done 3D before. I'm all for gameplay over graphics, but... this is sub-Mario 64 level stuff right here. Rapidash is a blockhead, and Pikachu's ears aren't attached.
I thought they were intentionally going for a chibi style. I mean, detailed 3D models of, what... 380-something Pokémon? That'd be a hefty channel, and my available blocks are already at a premium.
Well yeah, but there's a difference between chibi and crappy. The Chimchars in the background don't look too bad, but I can't get over how Rapidash's head is now apparently wider than it is long. That's not terribly aerodynamic!

I don't think there was much shortage in RSE. Maybe a shortage of good Pokemon. The ones accessable in-game were mostly crap. Worst generation ever.

Still, out of 130 Pokemon, ten's pretty bad.
12. Plusle
13. Minun
14. Rayquaza
15. Gardeveour (spelling?)
16. Mawile (spelling?)
17. Flygon
18. Milotic
19. Tropius
20. Chimecho
21. Huntail
22. Metagross
That's all of 'em in my opinion, including your list.
Also, Plusle and Minun are cheap imitations.

(Awesome count today: 3)
Who all is still playing?

Eew? Or EEUUGH??

EDIT: You're right, of course: the Pokémon look terrible. Not arguing against that point.
This game begs to differ.
